Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process.
- Provide leadership and guidance in the design, development and verification processes.
- Communicate with business leaders and key stakeholders as needed to keep them apprised and updated on critical issues related to valves and actuators.
- Lead and engage with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) teams. Sign off on RCCA completions.
- Champion Lean methods
- Mentor and guide technical community
- Role model identifying, quantifying, and mitigating technical risk against business risk. Mentor and coach the broader technical community in this area.
- Disseminate lessons learned across Engineering organizations and other functions.
- Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to ensure inter-operability and reuse.
- Propose and develop new technical solutions to difficult problems.
- Design, create, fix, and review software written in C# and Python.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience

- Advanced degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering or related discipline

- Demonstrated clear thinker – able to solve complex technical challenges and communicate actions/solutions in clear concise manner that drives impact
- Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience in programming C#, C++, Java and/or Python.
- Problem solving skills to discover root causes and fix issues.
