About the Role:

This role partners with HR leadership to coordinate many HR Operations tasks and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and employment laws. Key responsibilities include time and attendance tracking, workforce scheduling, and HRIS data accuracy, as well as payroll and leave support. The role also assists HR teams with the Employee Handbook, data reporting, vendor management, and process improvements, while maintaining up-to-date HR documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the HR leadership to communicate and administer various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations for all employees.            

  • Manage a variety of recurring HR operations tasks focused on HR compliance, the employee life cycle, time and attendance and HRIS data accuracy.       

  • Support and Partner with Connexus leadership, Subject Matter Experts and legal counsel on Employee Handbook including researching employment law, recommending changes, and coordination of annual processes including employee acknowledgements. (Wage and hour, anti-discrimination, employee safety standards, etc.) 

  • Oversee and update annual employment posters (physical and web based).  

  • Manage and submit required reporting for the organization by deadline, i.e., Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, etc.           

  • Complete verifications of employment and unemployment requests.  

  • Oversee HR vendor management and third-party risk processes.            

  • Manage accuracy of employee data within the HRIS including HR audits for employee information to ensure compliance in all human resources areas.            

  • Oversee annual NMLS renewal, audit, and documentation and manager day to day NMLS processes.      

  • Responsible for time and absence entry, approval, tracking, and reporting in the HRIS system per company time, absence, and benefit policies.              

  • Work with HR team members and managers to ensure time is correct in payroll while following state-specific laws.  

  • Partner with and support HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and departmental leadership to optimize nonexempt employee schedules, reduce overtime, and ensure company time and attendance policies are complied with while utilizing the HRIS system.               

  • Partner and support HRBPs relative to HR Operations scope including company attendance programs may include utilizing reports and participating in progressive discipline discussions.               

  • Complete and distribute quarterly time and attendance metrics.            

  • Track New Hires and Terminations for the HR Operations department to ensure compliance with applicable state policies and benefits.       

  • Manage all employee electronic files, including documents in the HRIS system, and be the point of contact for any employee or former employee requesting copies of their personnel files.

  • Assist the Payroll Analyst with bi-weekly payroll processing tasks and serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.

  • Must learn payroll and tax processing and be a fully functional backup.             

  • Assist the Leave and Workforce Accommodations Specialist by monitoring the Leave of Absence email inbox, processing mail, and attending employee meetings when necessary.

  • Must learn leave of absence processing and be a fully functional backup.        

  • Maintain HR Operations Microsoft SharePoint pages and partner with other HR SME’s to ensure consistency and engaging employee experience.

  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for the HR Operations team to ensure we have current and up-to-date information on our processes and address gaps and risks.      

  • Assist the HR leadership team by recommending new strategies and approaches to support the organization's success and completing special projects as requested.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the human resources management team, including mail distribution and coordination of team meetings for Total Rewards & HR Operations team and larger HR department as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or commensurate experience is Required.

  • 3+ years of Humans Resources experience is Required.

  • Prior HRIS experience such as Workday, etc. is Required.

  • Requires proficient skills in using Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel and Word.
