How you will make history…

This role is the liaison between the core work teams and HR to assist with handling the administrative duties in Workday, Symmetry (Badge System), and other necessary HR systems such as UKG (Payroll).  The Human Resource Coordinator will support initiatives implemented by the Human Resources Department and Training to support ongoing business needs.  This role will be an employee advocate and play an integral role by utilizing their knowledge to problem solve: 

What you will do…

  • Provides front desk coverage to greet and triage employees' requests for day-to-day general Human Resource support to site employees and management staff, elevating questions and issues to appropriate HR team members as needed. 
  • Conducts new employee orientation sessions, including I-9 processing and all new hire paperwork processing. 
  • Maintains employee personnel files and issues lockers and badges.
  • Manage the site's hourly employee leave of absences programs –such as issuing and obtaining claim paperwork, collecting statements, and coordinating with Team Leaders on doctor's notes and return to work programs.
  • Manages all Charlotte-based employee data entry, including new hire setup and personnel data changes.
  • Processes and coordinates Site Payroll to ensure changes are completed properly, and responds to questions as needed.
  • Manages the UKG timekeeping system, including making edits and changes as needed. 
  • Oversees the attendance points systems and processes. 
  • Receives inquiries from outside vendors on unemployment claims, utilizing online tools, to provide timely responses.
  • Processes weekly HR reports for the site, such as Termination reports and Overtime Hours.  
  • Maintain the badging system to include processing badges for new, temporary, current employees, and contractors as needed; updating the status of active and inactive badges.
  • Conducts HR audits on internal processes.
  • Assist with HR initiatives such as annual enrollment, retirements, appreciation lunches, company events, and community events. 
  • Assists with various administrative duties as assigned by the site HR Team. 
  • Assist with annual uniform orders and distributions.  
  • Oversees and maintains the HR bulletin boards.
  • Creates and sends out letters for standard HR requests – employment verification, wages, termination requests, etc.

This role will report to the Sr HR Manager. It will partner with multiple HR associates and work with plant-based employees.

What you will bring to the table… (Required Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field preferred, or a high school diploma/equivalent with a minimum of two years' experience.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; research ability; and mathematical skills. 
  • Proven excellent customer service skills and ability to be flexible, a team player, and interface professionally with all levels of internal and external.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer data entry.

  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Payroll experience.
  • Experience using Workday, HRIS reporting systems, and being comfortable with ADA and leaves of absence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.  The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$49,200-$70,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
