You’ll play a key role in keeping Workday accurate and efficient by supporting the day-to-day lifecycle of our employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys high-quality execution, solving system puzzles, and collaborating cross-functionally.

About the Team:

We’re seeking someone who’s experienced in Workday support and has done some configuration work previously—even if lightly—and is now looking to deepen their expertise in day-to-day HRIS operations, data quality, and cross-functional support. You’ll work independently on core processes while collaborating across the People, IT, and Finance teams to improve operations and employee experiences.

We’re also excited about the potential of AI and automation to streamline how we work, and we’d love for this person to explore emerging tooling that can simplify manual processes and improve HRIS support at scale.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • HRIS Operations

    • Own and process complex Workday transactions across the employee lifecycle (hires, transfers, compensation changes, org changes, terminations, etc.) with a focus on data integrity and compliance
    • Resolve incoming HRIS requests (related to job and org. changes, employee data,  benefits, compensation, performance reviews, extended workforce, etc.), offering expert guidance, flagging trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvement to help us scale and automate where possible
    • Monitor data accuracy and run regular audits to ensure system integrity and compliance, identifying root causes of recurring issues and partnering on long-term fixes
    • Maintain internal documentation and team wikis to support smooth operations and transparency
  • System Optimization and Configuration

    • Contribute to ongoing People team projects and play a key role in scaling employee experiences through system updates across the People team (Comp, Benefits, Invite, & Talent Development)
    • Make system updates to business processes in Workday, eligibility rules, help text, calculated fields and report-building
    • Test and validate configuration changes or new features before deployment
    • Create and maintain system documentation for workflows, configuration decisions, and operating procedures
    • Lean in to innovation and emerging AI tools—including leveraging platforms like Glean—to streamline knowledge sharing, automate repetitive tasks, and improve service delivery at scale

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in HRIS or People Operations roles, including hands-on Workday data entry and support
  • Prior experience with Workday reporting and configuration (e.g., business processes, eligibility, calculated fields)
  • Proven track record managing HRIS support queues, data changes, and sensitive employee information
  • Ability to work independently, assess ambiguous issues, and propose scalable solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for clean, reliable data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you're comfortable educating stakeholders and building trust
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Nice-to-Haves
  • Workday Pro certification or formal module-specific Workday training (Core HR/HCM, Comp, Benefits, Talent, Time & Payroll)
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Asana, Greenhouse, or Workato
  • Experience supporting global orgs or high-volume hiring cycles
  • Knowledge of Workday EIBs or security configuration
