The HR Specialist is responsible for payroll processing, employee enrollment, compensation strategy, performance evaluations, and ensuring HR metrics accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing reports related to key human resources metrics (personnel roster, overtime information, compensation data, etc.)
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly pay for IDL/DL employees, ensuring the accurate and timely disbursement of employee wages, and making system data adjustments based on the payroll change log.
- Enroll new employees into the ADP system and time attendance system, and assist in resolving system discrepancies.
- Provide guidance to employees on the company's compensation/benefit policies and address inquiries or concerns regarding salary matters.
- Prepare Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for new hires, salary adjustments, and special cases, and submit them for approval by the high-level management.
- Update various types of employee leave balances to ensure data accuracy.
- Organize the annual performance evaluation process, and based on historical performance data, provide management with adjustment parameters and recommendations.
- Review the annual benefit plan and update the system data promptly based on employees' selections.
- Reconcile benefit reports with benefit agency invoices and make adjustments as necessary.
- Support year end W-2 process and collaborate with other departments to provide annual payroll-related reports.
- Manage compensation data with research and benchmark
- Develop and implement compensation strategies.
- Conduct job evaluations and analysis.
- Provide backup support for other employees in the Human Resources department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Must have basic knowledge of payroll, tax, EEOC, FLSA, and FMLA.
- Proven ability to function independently and multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Must have the ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Possess high energy and initiatives
- Bilingual in Chinese is a plus
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Business and Management related area is required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related degree is preferred
- Two years of Human Resources payroll experience is required, ADP payroll system experience is a plus.
- Working experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
