Here's what we're looking for in one of our openings:
- You're currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to commute to our office during your internship.
- You're cooperative and like to lend a helping hand to others. We have a collaborative culture here at HCSS where teamwork makes the dream work!
- You're detail-oriented, a problem solver, and a logical thinker.
What will you be doing?
- Assist with benefit invoice reconciliations for all health and wellness benefits.
- Assist with payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Help maintain and update HR information systems (HRIS) with employee data.
- Research and assist with HR compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed.
- Support HR Operations team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Lead or significantly contribute to 2-3 assigned HR projects, which may include process improvements, data analysis, or program development.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all HR-related information.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice to Have:
- Previous internship or work experience in an office environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR).
- Basic understanding of HR compliance regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Here's what to expect:
- This internship is semester-based, and we'll work around your school schedule. During the Fall/Spring semesters, you can work up to 25 hours a week.
- Training and mentoringwill be provided, and you'll receive feedback on your performance regularly. You'll have numerous opportunities to continuously grow your knowledge base.
