About Invoca:

Invoca is the leading AI-powered conversation intelligence platform. We empower marketing, sales, customer experience, and contact center teams to unlock the intent and insights within every customer interaction – driving better customer experiences, increased revenue, and improved operational efficiency. Join our dynamic, fast-growing team, where innovation and collaboration are at the core of our culture.

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, high-agency HR Generalist to join Invoca's People Team. This role is ideal for someone a few years into their HR career who is ready to take full ownership of some programs — and be a trusted, roll-up-your-sleeves partner on others. You'll own things like new hire onboarding, immigration coordination, and our employee survey program end to end, while also playing a key support role on higher-stakes, company-wide initiatives like benefits open enrollment, performance cycles, and compensation programs alongside our HRBPs and Sr. Manager of People Operations. If you're someone who takes pride in both running your own work and being a dependable teammate others can count on when it matters most, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Own the end-to-end new hire onboarding experience, ensuring every new hire feels welcome and is set up for success — run orientation, coordinate system access and equipment setup with IT, manage background checks and I-9 verification, conduct new-hire 60 day check ins
  • Hold managers accountable for having a documented onboarding plan or 30/60/90 day plan in place for every new hire — including clear, written expectations — and follow up when those aren't in place ahead of a start date
  • Conduct exit interviews and leverage exit data themes and trends to make actionable recommendations to the business and/or management
  • Manage employment verifications, unemployment claim responses, and/or documentation gathering for legal situations

Immigration

  • Coordinate immigration cases for sponsored employees, including H-1B transfers, extensions, and other visa processes — partnering with external immigration counsel to manage timelines, documentation, and employee communication

Employee Experience

  • Plan and execute departmental onsites and smaller team gatherings — reserving coworking or hotel conference space, managing logistics, and coordinating travel
  • Set up and manage event travel budgets in Navan, partner with finance/procurement to create POs, secure funds and approvals
  • Track employee enrollment in training programs and monitor L&D budget spend

HR Support

  • Own the employee survey program including the design, delivery, data analysis, and partnering with HRBPs to identify actionable insights
  • Serve as a first point of contact for day-to-day employee questions, issues, or concerns — escalating to HRBPs or Sr. Manager, People Operations when appropriate
  • Support company-wide performance management processes, prepare comprehensive calibration materials and compensation history reports for HRBPs and Executives ahead of calibration sessions
  • Help maintain and update compensation and equity bands in relevant systems

People Operations Coverage

  • Support Sr. Manager of People Operations and HRBPs to execute Annual Benefits Open Enrollment — including employee communications, system updates, and deadline tracking
  • Support leave of absence administration and workers' comp reporting in partnership with the Sr. Manager, People Operations as needed
  • Assist with HR compliance tasks including required training tracking, labor law postings, and audit-readiness documentation
  • Provide backup support and coverage for HRIS (Paylocity) changes, with a focus on accurate and timely processing of onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes
  • Provide backup support and coverage for international payroll and onboarding for global employees by partnering with Employer of Record (EOR) providers such as Remote and HR Options, ensuring accurate and timely setup and ongoing changes

Recruiting Support (support during occasional hiring spikes)

  • Coordinate interview scheduling across candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers, ensuring a smooth and timely candidate experience
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates during the scheduling process, representing our culture and values from the first interaction
Who You Are

You take ownership and move quickly. You don't wait to be told what needs to happen next. You see a gap, you close it — and you follow through with urgency until it's done.

You’re business-minded. You understand that HR isn't just process management — it's about ensuring Invoca has the right people, in the right seats, working on the right things to hit company goals and financial targets.

You're curious by nature. You ask good questions. When you don't know something, you dig in. You're always looking to understand the "why" behind a process, not just the "what."

You think critically. You can spot when something doesn't add up or when a process could work better. You bring solutions, not just problems.

You sweat the details. Whether it's an employee record, a calendar invite, or an event logistics spreadsheet — accuracy matters to you and it shows in your work.

You communicate clearly and with care. People trust you with sensitive information and important moments in their employee journey. You handle both with discretion and warmth.

You're adaptable. Priorities shift. Systems change. You stay calm, adjust quickly, and help others do the same.

You're a connector. You genuinely like people and approach every situation with curiosity and empathy.

What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related role within a technology company — we're open to a range of backgrounds if the skills and mindset are right
  • BA/BS degree or greater
  • Exposure to onboarding/offboarding workflows, HRIS, performance management, and HR compliance concepts
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms; hands-on experience with Paylocity is a strong plus
  • Experience with event planning or travel coordination a plus; familiarity with Navan is a bonus
  • Proven ability to leverage data analysis and trends to make actionable recommendations
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy while knowing when to loop in a partner or escalate
  • Discretion and maturity when handling confidential employee information
