The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and be capable of driving HR initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

  • Assist HR Leader and Senior HR Business Partners with performance management, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Handle employee accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate employee relations concerns under the direction of HR Leadership, providing thorough and unbiased reports.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to address employee questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
  • Assist with managing the HR inbox during periods of high volume, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Provide consistent and accurate reporting to HRBP leaders, utilizing HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Participate in special projects or other business/operational initiatives in support of HR Leaders, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • 6+ years of direct HR experience (required), in a generalist capacity (preferred).

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to execute time-sensitive tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to provide backup support to the HR team, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
