Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to serve as Business Manager (Chief of Staff) for our Product Development team in Home Lending. In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with the Head of Product to drive operational excellence, lead transformation initiatives, and shape our team's engagement, culture, and narrative.
You will connect strategy to execution, build scalable systems, and ensure our team operates with clarity, consistency, and accountability. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who thrives in ambiguity, influences without authority, and energizes teams to deliver results. If you thrive in ambiguity, lead desirable outcomes, and energize teams, we want to meet you.
Job responsibilities
  • Connect dots across products, operations, and strategy; anticipate what's next and shift priorities before others even notice the wind change. Thrive in ambiguity by translating vision into actionable roadmaps and proactively positioning the team for future success.
  • Craft compelling narratives that influence decisions and inspire action. Translate complexity into clarity for multiple audiences-from engineers to executives. Make every presentation, report, or update impossible to ignore.
  • Build structure from chaos without slowing the pace. Create repeatable, scalable systems that enable leaders to focus on transformation-not administration. Obsessed with outcomes, metrics, and accountability, you ensure the team delivers measurable results and maintains high standards
  • Serve as the Head of Product's right hand-trusted to make decisions, shape messaging, and represent priorities at all levels. Communicate with precision and impact, commanding credibility with senior leaders; not just take notes, but driving the conversation forward and ensure the team's voice is heard.
  • Fluent in budgets, forecasts, and business cases; equally comfortable challenging assumptions or defending ROI. Know how to tie every initiative back to commercial outcomes and customer value. Turn data into decisions-fast, ensuring financial discipline and strategic impact in every project.
  • Energize change, champion modern, agile ways of working, and drive progress across people, process, and technology. Break silos and unblock execution to ensure the team moves forward efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Lead without authority; mobilize teams through credibility, clarity, and momentum. Elevate performance, sharpen thinking, and raise the bar for everyone around you. Balance diplomacy with backbone-knowing when to push and when to partner to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Focus on what matters most and have the courage to say "no" when needed. Deliver on essentials without losing sight of innovation. Get things done-no drama, no excuses, no dropped balls.
  • Set a tone of excellence, urgency, integrity, and optimism across teams. Make transformation feel achievable-and contagious-by embodying curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 6+ years in management consulting, strategy, or operational leadership (financial services/mortgage banking preferred)
  • Experience influencing outcomes, driving change, and delivering results in complex environments
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: A degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
