About Burq

Burq started with an ambitious mission: to turn the complex process of offering delivery into a simple, turnkey solution. It’s a big mission, and now we want you to join us in making it even bigger. 🚀

We’re proud to be recognized as one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators and a 2025 Inc. Magazine Power Partner, awards that highlight how we’re redefining the future of logistics while empowering our partners to grow.

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors like Village Global, the fund whose investors include Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Reid Hoffman, and Sara Blakely, we’ve built a world-class team across the globe.

We operate at scale but remain small enough for every person to have a massive impact. There’s a lot of important work ahead, and joining Burq means the opportunity to grow faster than ever while doing the most meaningful work of your career.

Here’s a quick overview of what you will be doing:

The Role

We're hiring a Head of Product to lead the product org end-to-end — from strategy and roadmap to the actual craft of building and shipping great products.

AI isn't a side project at Burq — it's becoming the core of how our platform works and how our team builds. We're pushing to be at the forefront of AI in logistics: embedding intelligence across the delivery experience, shipping AI-powered products into production, and reimagining workflows that the rest of the industry still runs manually. This role owns where we take that next.

This is a player-coach role. You'll personally run a few of the highest-leverage bets while leading a product team of 5+ PMs and designers (and growing). You'll decide what the next AI-native version of our product looks like, make the calls on what gets built, and raise the ceiling on how good our prototyping-to-production pipeline can be.

You'll report to the founders and partner closely with engineering, design, ops, and our customer-facing teams.

What You'll Do

Own Burq's AI product vision. AI is already embedded in our platform and how the team builds. Your job is to decide where it creates the most leverage next, turn promising ideas into real product direction, and personally lead some of the highest-impact initiatives from concept to launch. You'll set the bar for what world-class AI products in logistics look like.

Own the end-to-end product experience. You'll own the full product surface our merchants, drivers, and operators rely on — making sure the pieces come together into something that's genuinely better than how the industry works today, and that scales as we grow.

Build products grounded in real operational complexity. Logistics is fast-moving and unforgiving — small mistakes create real operational and financial consequences. You'll develop a deep understanding of how operators, drivers, and merchants actually work, then build products that measurably improve outcomes, not just demos that look good.

Push the team's AI-native product capabilities forward. Our PMs and designers already prototype directly in tools like Cursor, Lovable, v0, and Bolt, and reviews happen around working product, not slides. You'll push that culture further — helping the team move faster, prototype better, and rethink what product development looks like in an AI-native environment — while holding a high bar for production reliability.

Requirements

We care more about evidence of work than pedigree or years of experience — but most strong candidates will have led product teams and shipped software at scale.

What matters most:
  • You've built AI/ML products that make real-world decisions at scale — for example recommendation, matching, routing, forecasting, or pricing systems — with production feedback loops and a way to prove the model actually improves outcomes. This is different from shipping LLM features or prototypes, and it's the kind of work that matters most here.
  • You've shipped AI products in production and dealt with the real tradeoffs — edge cases, quality, model behavior, latency, and cost.
  • You're deeply hands-on and fluent in modern AI-native workflows. Our team prototypes directly in tools like Cursor, Lovable, v0, Bolt, and Replit; you can work that way and push the team forward — while staying rigorous about what it takes to make AI reliable in production.
  • You connect product to business outcomes. You tie decisions to clear metrics, and you can defend a long-horizon platform bet against short-term revenue pressure.
  • You can operate in operationally complex environments. Experience in logistics, supply chain, marketplaces, mobility, or fulfillment is strongly preferred. You should be excited to get close to the real workflows behind the product.
  • You have strong product judgment. You write clearly, decide quickly, and separate meaningful opportunities from noise.
  • You know how to lead high-performing teams. You raise the bar, give clear direction, and create an environment where talented people do their best work without unnecessary process.
  • You're in it for the build. Our advantage compounds over years, not a single quarter — you're excited to commit to a multi-year journey.

Bonus points:

  • You have a background in logistics, supply chain, or last-mile delivery — and understand the operational realities of moving goods.
  • You've worked at a company that genuinely built AI into how the product and team operated.
  • You've built products for operational users like dispatchers, support teams, or operations leaders.
  • You've built platform or API products for enterprise customers and complex integrations.
  • You've been an early product or leadership hire and enjoy building in fast-moving environments.
Location

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based in the United States and Canada, with a few in-person offsites throughout the year.

How We Work

We're remote with a few in-person offsites throughout the year. We move quickly, default to writing, and ship early to real customers before rolling things out broadly. AI is part of how we work every day, not a separate initiative — we expect people to experiment with new tools, share what they learn, and continuously rethink how great products get built. We care more about speed, ownership, and iteration than process for the sake of process.

Benefits

Investing in you 🙏

  • Competitive salary, stock options, and performance-based bonuses
  • Fully remote
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance

At Burq, we value diversity. We are an equal opportunity employer: we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
