Instnt, an innovative Insurtech startup providing a cutting-edge SaaS customer onboarding platform that includes fraud loss insurance is seeking a Head of HR. As we scale beyond our small but mighty team, we’re looking for a Head of HR to lead our people strategy—ensuring our culture, values, and operations grow in step with our business.

This role is not just about traditional HR—it’s about being a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, rolling up your sleeves to drive initiatives that will fuel our next stage of growth. If you thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving SaaS environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

🌎 This role is currently remote, with the potential to transition to a hybrid setup (2 days per week in NYC) as we continue to scale.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be a master collaborator and people champion, ensuring Instnt attracts, retains, and develops top talent while scaling effectively. You will:

  • Be a values champion – Reinforce and scale Instnt's culture and values across the organization.
  • Advise and support leaders – Partner directly with team leads to coach on performance management, navigate complex talent issues, advise on compensation and leveling, and help employees develop their careers.
  • Build and scale HR operations – Maintain and continue to improve HR processes, systems, and policies that align with a growing SaaS startup while ensuring compliance with local, federal, and global employment laws.
  • Enhance employee engagement – Proactively identify and address employee relations concerns, improve work relationships, and increase morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Analyze trends and anticipate needs – Use HR data and insights to develop programs and strategies that support future business growth.
  • Optimize payroll & benefits – Liaise with Instnt Professional Employment Organization (PEO) to ensure employees receive the best possible resources and support.
  • Develop training & coaching programs – Identify and execute training needs for business units, as well as provide individual executive coaching.
  • Support broader business initiatives – Work alongside the CEO on strategic growth initiatives beyond HR to help scale the company.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, SaaS startup environment and has a strong mix of HR expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution skills.

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR leadership experience in a high-growth or startup environment, executing operational HR tasks with extreme efficiency and limited resources.
  • Deep HR knowledge across employee relations, performance management, compensation, career pathing, and employment law.
  • 3+ years experience designing and implementing scalable HR programs.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS startup – you anticipate the challenges that come with scaling.
  • A culture-first mindset – you prioritize values as a key ingredient to business success and are a role model in action.
  • A proactive, hands-on problem solver – you don’t just advise, you execute.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – you’re a true business partner to leadership, managers, and employees alike.
Why Join Us?
  • Close partnership with leadership – Work alongside the CEO and senior leaders on initiatives that go beyond HR.
  • A fast-moving, exciting SaaS startup environment where innovation and collaboration thrive.
  • Flexible work setup – Remote-first with the option to transition to a hybrid model (2 days per week in NYC) as we scale.
  • Opportunities to grow and evolve as the company scales.

If you’re excited to lead people strategy in a hands-on, high-growth SaaS startup, we’d love to hear from you! 🚀
