Turion Space is building the autonomous infrastructure to operate and defend the in-space economy. From our DROID satellites that remove debris and inspect assets, to Starfire OS that enables autonomous space operations, to advanced propulsion and sensing technologies, we are solving some of the hardest problems in space. Our mission is to ensure that space remains usable, safe, and secure for generations to come.

The Head of Enterprise Automation will report into the CIO and will lead Turion's internal technology strategy for AI, automation, and business systems. This role is responsible for identifying high-friction workflows across the company and eliminating them through automation, AI tooling, and purpose-built internal software. • Design and deploy internal copilots and agent-based tools tailored to specific teams (Finance, BD, HR, Engineering Ops, etc.).

  • Partner with Finance, HR, BD, Engineering Ops, and IP Strategy to scope, prioritize, and deliver automation initiatives with measurable ROI.

  • Continuously evaluate the AI and automation ecosystem, prototype quickly, cut what doesn't work, build when off-the-shelf falls short.

  • Own Turion’s BI and analytics platform, integrating data from across the business into a single source of truth that gives leadership visibility into company performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of working experience in software engineering or related role with a track record of building and shipping internal tools or automation systems at scale.

  • Development experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Go, TypeScript)

  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, AI agents, or ML systems into production workflows.

  • Experience building internal AI copilots, agent-based systems, or enterprise automation platforms.

  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and workflow orchestration.

  • DevOps literacy sufficient to contribute to infrastructure decisions.
