Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Additionally, you will focus on growing and scaling the engineering team in the region, attracting top talent, and developing existing team members to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a set of teams within our EMEA based engineering organization (primarily in Poland), focusing on delivering highly technical multi-quarter roadmaps.
- Develop and implement strategies for future development projects based on the company's overall objectives and resources.
- Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed and encouraged.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to build a feature roadmap and deliver high-quality experiences to our customers.
- Drive technical excellence, innovation, and quality across engineering teams.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor top engineering talent, fostering career growth and engagement.
- Ensure operational and quality metrics are achieved, and champion developer productivity.
- Steward other local leaders' efforts towards branding, talent acquisition, retention, and to build a robust sustainable culture.
- Build bridges with global leadership and remote managers from other sites to make sure that the new site is well integrated into the company fabric.
- Represent Atlassian Poland Sp. z o.o. internally and externally, helping to inform global initiatives with the local context, playing a supporting role with people-related matters and being the "voice of the region".
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in building and scaling engineering teams with a focus on engineering strategy, infrastructure planning, and architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in developing influential relationships and trust with senior leaders across different functions.
- Proven experience hiring and mentoring high-caliber engineers with diverse technical strengths and backgrounds.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for business partners.
- A graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for SaaS companies.
- Experience managing managers and scaling organizations with over 150 engineers.
- Experience leading teams across geographies and working in a distributed-first company.
