The Head of Digital and AI, Technology Standards is responsible for shaping, leading, and advancing the digital and AI agenda across the Technology Standards organization. The role ensures that TS has digital capabilities, data foundations, and AI‑enabled ways of working to support efficient, high‑quality standards and IP monetization work across the organization.
This role acts as a bridge between technology, data, AI, and business execution, ensuring that digital and AI investments translate into measurable business impact across the organization. You will shape how digital and AI are embedded into our core workflows enabling TS to operate as an AI‑enabled, data‑driven organization with modern workflows and scalable platforms.
ResponsibilitiesDigital & AI Strategy and Operating Model
- Define and drive the Technology Standards Digital and AI strategy, including long-term vision, strategic priorities, and roadmap.
- Establish and maintain a clear Digital and AI operating model, including governance, decision rights, development principles, and ways of working.
Data
- Ensure TS has robust data foundations, including data strategy, ownership, quality, accessibility, lifecycle management, and readiness for AI-enabled workflows.
Business Applications, Tools & Platforms
- Own the TS business application landscape, including lifecycle management, integration, and rationalization, and third-party tooling onboarding
- Lead the development and adoption of AI‑enabled tools and platforms that support standards development, patenting, and licensing workflows.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with TS functions and Group Digital Office
- Drive alignment across TS to reduce fragmentation and duplication and enable scalable fit-for purpose solutions.
Governance, Impact & Value Realization
- Establish clear governance for prioritization, investment decisions, and execution of digital and AI initiatives.
- Drive a strong focus on measurable impact and value realization.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings extensive senior level-experience in leading Digital and AI, and has a strong combination of strategic leadership, digital and AI expertise, and hands‑on execution capability. You are comfortable operating in complex, cross‑functional environments and can translate ambition into delivered outcomes. The candidate should exhibit strong leadership capabilities, business-oriented mindset, and the ability to drive initiatives forward across complex, cross-functional environments.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or other relevant university degree
- At least 5 years of senior-level experience in digital transformation, AI, data platforms, or technology‑enabled business transformation
- Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and AI readiness
- Proven track record of managing or modernizing complex business application landscapes
- Experience driving cross‑functional alignment, aligning diverse stakeholders with different priorities and maturity levels
- Proven track record in defining operating models, governance frameworks, and execution roadmaps
- Strong business mindset, with focus on measurable impact and value realization
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex topics clearly
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
