About the company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.

About the role
Ondo is hiring a Head of Business Operations to own how the company runs day to day and quarter to quarter. This person will design and evolve the operating system of the company, driving strategic alignment, cross-functional execution, and analytical rigor as we scale. The role will take on a large portion of the operating load that currently sits with senior leadership, so they can focus more on strategy, product, and external outcomes.
This is a senior leadership role (Director or VP level) with high visibility and a mandate to build durable systems, not just execute ad hoc projects. Over time, this person is expected to build and lead a small team.

Target outcomes
  • A clear, durable operating system that scales with the company as we grow and integrate acquisitions.
  • Leadership and managers spend significantly less time on coordination and follow-up, and more time on strategy, product, and external outcomes.
  • Faster, more predictable cross-functional execution on priorities such as client onboarding, post-acquisition integration, and leadership initiatives.
  • Improved decision quality driven by shared metrics, analytics, and insight generation.
  • A clear map of Ondo’s current operating model, with prioritized gaps and a plan to address them.

Responsibilities
  • Design, evolve, and own Ondo’s operating system, including planning cycles, OKR or equivalent frameworks, and leadership / management cadences.
  • Structure and run leadership, management, and exec forums, ensuring clear agendas, decisions, owners, and follow-through.
  • Drive cross-functional execution for company-wide initiatives (for example, client onboarding, post-acquisition integration, and internal enablement programs).
  • Design and improve workflows and interfaces between engineering, solutions, GTM, compliance, operations, and other teams.
  • Own operating hygiene, including issue logs, RAPIDs, documentation standards, and consistent use of internal tools.
  • Serve as primary owner of our internal knowledge and operating environment (for example, Notion OS, Slack conventions, and related tooling).
  • Partner with Analytics, Finance, and functional leaders to define and maintain org-level metrics, performance reviews, and resource planning.
  • Synthesize operational, customer, and delivery signals into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead or coordinate post-acquisition integration efforts so new teams and businesses fit into Ondo’s operating model.
  • Own or coordinate cross-cutting vendors and platforms (for example, internal search / knowledge tools), including legal, security, and procurement workflows.
  • Champion and operationalize AI-driven internal tooling to improve productivity and decision-making.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy & operations, or a similar function, including experience in high-growth or scaling startups.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evolve company-level operating systems (planning, goal-setting, meeting cadences, decision forums).
  • Proven track record driving complex cross-functional initiatives from design through adoption and steady-state execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and driving change without relying on formal authority.
  • High analytical rigor and comfort working with data, including defining metrics, interpreting dashboards, and translating insights into action.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, set structure where needed, and balance architecture with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to drive clarity and alignment across functions.
  • High integrity, ownership mindset, and alignment with Ondo’s long-term mission.

Nice to haves
  • Experience leading or partnering closely with analytics / BI or data teams.
  • Experience with M&A or post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or crypto.
  • Prior ownership of internal knowledge systems, operating cadences, or company-level program management.

What we offer
  • Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — we are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
  • Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
  • Remote-first team across many countries — you will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and operating practices.
  • A+ colleagues — our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap.
  • Best-in-class investors — we are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund, and Coinbase Ventures.
