Vanguard’s Advice & Wealth Management (AWM) division is building next‑generation digital capabilities that transform how we deliver advice at scale. As the Head of Advisor Capabilities, you will shape the future front‑office experience—combining modern technology, client‑centric design, and deep advisor empathy to elevate how advisors, relationship managers, and service specialists deliver outcomes for millions of households.

You will oversee a product management organization responsible for reimagining the advisor and crew experience across daily workflows and complex planning needs. Your remit spans foundational container and data frameworks, CRM modernization, and hybrid collaboration tools—integrating design systems, multi‑entity data models, alerts and notifications, meeting and communication capabilities, workflow infrastructure, and third‑party technology. Your team will apply outside‑in thinking and modern product practices to build scalable, advisor‑centric platforms that unify documentation, cross‑divisional workflows, pipeline insights, and internal collaboration to support seamless, high‑quality client engagement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define the vision and roadmap for a unified front‑office experience across internal systems and vendor platforms.
  • Build scalable capabilities leveraging agentic AI, supergraph architecture, eventing, householding logic, and advanced reporting.
  • Drive adoption and measurable improvements in advisor productivity, data quality, digital engagement, and time to advice.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing product organization grounded in experimentation, excellence, and strong risk partnership.
  • Influence and collaborate across AWM, including Advice, Wealth Management, Digital & Analytics, Technology, and Controls & Enablement.

What It Takes:

  • Proven success transforming advisory front‑office experiences with advisors, relationship managers, and service teams.
  • Deep expertise in platform product management, including enterprise‑grade integrations (async, point‑to‑point, ETL, ESB) and vendor ecosystem management.
  • Technical fluency across cloud platforms (AWS), data architecture, eventing, supergraph/graph patterns, and applied AI/ML (RAG, agentic workflows).
  • A customer‑back mindset with the ability to deliver iterative value within a large enterprise.
  • Track record leading multi‑team product organizations and navigating business, technology, legal, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with advisory workflows, planning, householding, and CRM‑driven supervisory and documentation requirements.
