Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games.

As a Technical Data Partnerships Leader/Manager, you will play a critical role in establishing and optimizing Discord's measurement partnerships and data licensing agreements. Working at the intersection of product, engineering, and business development, you'll manage complex technical integrations with CDPs, MMPs, and attribution partners while negotiating contracts and driving joint go-to-market initiatives. Your expertise in ad tech measurement, signal optimization, and partnership strategy will be essential as Discord scales its advertising solutions and enhances attribution capabilities for our advertiser partners.

This is a senior technical partnership role where you'll build measurement infrastructure from the ground up, requiring both technical depth in ad tech systems and strategic partnership management skills to advance Discord's position in the measurement ecosystem.

What you'll be doing:

  • Contract King/Queen: You'll handle all the legal agreements with our measurement partners, from NDAs to multi-party deals.
  • Strategy Guru: You'll set the direction for our measurement partnerships, including working on joint development for app, desktop/console, web, and brand stuff.
  • Data Whisperer: You'll be in charge of data licensing and signal partnerships, negotiating deals and integrating third-party data to benefit Discord and our advertisers.
  • Signals Champion: You'll lead the charge on integrating and improving CAPI/server-side signals with our biggest CDP and advertiser partners.
  • Go-to-Market Maestro: You'll cook up joint marketing plans, like co-marketing at conferences, creating case studies, and getting some good PR.
  • Information Interconnect: You'll be the go-to person on how our partners use data for attribution and how that can help us make our products better.

What you'll need:

  • Experience: 7+ years in ad tech, measurement, or vendor partnerships.
  • Contract Savvy: You've managed ads data and measurement partner contracts before (both paid and unpaid ones).
  • Tech Chops: You're familiar with app attribution (MMPs), CDPs, CAPI, and targeting enrichment.
  • Analytical Brains: You can wield SQL to figure out and improve attribution and signals.

People Skills: You're great at communication, roadmap planning, and managing programs with both internal and external folks.

This position is US-based and can be remote but if you live in the Bay Area, you’re welcome to work from our beautiful SF office.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $220,000 to $247,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level.
