About Numeral

Numeral is building the automation backbone for internet commerce — starting with the painful world of sales tax compliance. We handle everything from registration to remittance, delivering a white-glove service so e-commerce and SaaS businesses can stay laser-focused on what they do best: growing their products, customers, and teams.

We’re one of the fastest-growing companies from Y Combinator’s W23 batch, backed by top-tier investors including Benchmark Capital and Mayfield. Our team has deep roots from the early days at Stripe, Airbnb, Notion, and other breakout companies — and now we’re bringing that same level of craft, speed, and ambition to a space that’s long overdue for reinvention.

Numeral is small but mighty. Growth is already borderline unmanageable — which means every hire we make now will directly shape the trajectory of the company. If you’re excited about joining as an early team member and want the kind of ownership that defines careers, we want to meet you.

Mission

Running an online business today means wearing a thousand hats — most of them not the reason founders started their company. Our mission is to eliminate the administrative and accounting burdens that distract businesses from doing what they love.

We’ve already helped hundreds of merchants avoid the headache of building giant finance teams just to manage tax compliance. Tomorrow, we’re scaling that impact even further: building the automation layer that lets internet businesses stay nimble, compliant, and future-proof.

About the role:
  • As a Growth team member at Numeral, you’ll operate at the intersection of experimentation and execution, owning projects across paid media, ABM, content and creator partnerships, website optimization, lifecycle marketing, and whatever new channels we decide to test next. Or, better said, whatever channels you decide to test next.

  • You won’t be confined to a single motion. One month, you might be launching and optimizing paid campaigns. The next, partnering with creators or building new acquisition funnels. You could be rewriting core website pages, identifying entirely new channels of customer growth, or even launching new market segments altogether.

  • This role is for someone who loves ambiguity, moves quickly from idea to execution, and thinks in terms of measurable impact. You’ll work closely with sales and product to discover what works, and then double down on it.

Responsibilities:
  • Launch & scale new growth channels: Identify, test, and validate new customer acquisition channels, then build repeatable systems around what works.

  • Co-own paid acquisition: Launch, test, and optimize paid media campaigns across channels (search, social, emerging platforms) with a focus on CAC, pipeline, and revenue impact.

  • Build & enrich the TAM: Define, expand, and continuously refine our total addressable market through data sourcing, enrichment tools, segmentation, and ICP iteration to ensure we’re targeting the highest-value opportunities.

  • Develop creator & content partnerships: Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with content creators and partners to drive awareness, credibility, and customer acquisition.

  • Optimize website & conversion funnels: Continuously improve core website pages, landing pages, and funnel flows through testing, messaging iteration, and CRO experimentation.

  • Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with sales and product to align messaging, identify high-value opportunities, and turn customer insights into growth initiatives.

  • Stand-up new market segments: Helping Numeral go from 0 to 1 in entirely new segments, beyond ecommerce or SaaS. Leading with marketing.

Qualifications:
  • 2–8 years in growth, marketing, or a founder/operator role, ideally in a high-velocity startup environment.

  • Proven track record of driving measurable acquisition impact; you’ve launched campaigns, experiments, or channels that generated real pipeline or revenue.

  • Hands-on experience with paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) and comfort managing budgets, CAC targets, and performance metrics.

  • Strong analytical skills, you’re comfortable in spreadsheets, dashboards, attribution models, and can connect channel performance to revenue outcomes.

  • Familiarity with ABM or targeted outbound motions, you understand segmentation, personalization, and how to partner with sales to drive high-value accounts.

  • Experience building, segmenting, or enriching TAM datasets, you’ve worked with enrichment tools, data providers, or built targeting frameworks around ICP refinement.

  • Clear, persuasive communicator, strong writing skills across ads, landing pages, emails, and positioning.

  • Comfort with ambiguity, you don’t need a playbook; you build one.

  • High ownership mentality, you operate like a founder, care about outcomes over activity, and take responsibility for results.

  • Bias toward action, you ship fast, iterate quickly, and would rather test than debate.

  • Curiosity about AI tools and automation — you’re excited to leverage AI-native workflows to move faster and do more with less.

Bonus Points For:
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce

  • Direct experience with three or more of the following channels: Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, Reddit Ads, X Ads, CTV, or direct mail.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot, Sendoso, Webflow, or PartnerStack

  • Track record of owning growth/marketing from 0 to 1 and building systems that scale

  • Former founder
