About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Growth Product Manager to join our mission driven product team & focus on monetization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic thinking, ownership mindset & prior experience of driving monetization in the consumer-facing fintech space. This role will be pivotal in defining, executing, and optimizing Self’s strategy to rapidly expand our user base and help grow the revenue for the business.

What you will do:

  • Own and define the product monetization strategy for the company: define and implement a comprehensive strategy in partnership with marketing and data science to drive clear monetization across the customer life cycle by driving revenue per user. Lead initiatives to cross sell the next best product for the customer to keep retained on the platform while balancing revenue. Build a recommendation engine with strong customer data foundation to drive cross sell at scale. 
  • Collaborate & communicate with cross-functional teams to align monetization objectives with overall business goals. Utilize a combination of customer research & data-driven insights to identify areas for product market fit gaps,  impact to growth monetization recommendations & help influence prioritization of features.
  • Lead the ideation & prioritization of experiments across the app product portfolio to increase product adoption and usage per customer. .
  • Inspire the team with a compelling vision and strategy, strongly partner with Engineering on execution and own the delivery of outcomes
  • Leverage data science to define, track and report on key growth metrics &  provide actionable insights  based on data analysis, also leverage qual customer data and prior experience to come up with a comprehensive recommendation. 
  • Be a Product culture maker and help evangelize the growth mindset. Mentor and guide junior product managers and growth team members. Foster an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation.

Who you are:

  • 7 + years of experience in product management, with high impact growth fintech experience of a minimum 5 yrs. 
  • Proven track record of driving significant 10X user growth and achieving business goals
  • Strategic mindset on leveraging qual + quant data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. 
  • Experience with the latest growth hacking techniques and tools. 
  • Proficiency in analytics and product management tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude). 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field


Base salary range: $171,000-209,000 annually.  Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related reasons.
