About the Company

At Pylon we're building programmatic mortgage infrastructure. Our enterprise-grade APIs, connected directly to Wall Street, enable businesses to build and automate mortgage originations at scale. We're backed by Peter Thiel, Citi, Conversion Capital, and QED as well as the founders of Ramp, Mercury, and Blend.

About the Role

At Pylon, we’re a small team building the most ambitious platform in the mortgage space at an increasingly critical time. As our first full time growth hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting a scalable GTM machine and building a trusted brand.
Core Role Responsibilities (Build/Own)

  • Scale our Demand Gen Function: develop and execute a demand generation strategy using primary account based marketing and a variety of channels including content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, events, and partnerships.

  • Refine and amplify Pylon's story: tell the story of a first-of-its-kind platform that will reshape how mortgage is done. We support customers who are building mortgage for the first time, as well as those switching to Pylon from across multiple industry segments. Finding consistent ways to speak in their languages is crucial.

  • Build an enterprise-grade brand: Trust is crucial in mortgage - the stakes are high for our customers and their borrowers. We must continuously show our customers and partners that they can trust Pylon to launch and scale with them.

  • Be the voice of the customer: you will be a trusted authority on how our customers think, behave, and buy driven by extensive user and market research. In collaboration with GTM/Sales, you'll be expected to consistently advocate for them and translate this into compelling positioning to solve their most critical problems.

Additional Role Responsibilities (Help/Support)

  • Level up marketing and sales assets: alongside GTM, create customer-facing assets that are polished, visually balanced, and consistent with Pylon’s brand guidelines.

  • Help with PR and earned media: you’ll partner closely with comms resources to run high value launches that amplify the mission.

  • Events and out of home: you’ll help conceive and run experiments for Pylon 'out in the wild' to drive brand awareness and support demand gen.

About you. You;

  • Are a creative builder. You're scrappy and excited to own execution early on because this role does not come with extensive design agency resources or headcount for a big team on day 1.

  • Are a meticulous craftsman. Doing things impressively well is in Pylon’s DNA. We care deeply about our work so we can deliver the best products in mortgage.

  • Are customer first. You think through the lens of our customers using first principles and enjoy spending time in the go-to-market trenches.

  • Are self-motivated and high horsepower. You can define a goal and drive towards it without extensive hand-holding. We’re extremely collaborative and don’t default to micromanagement.

  • Have great ideas, and act quickly on them. You see opportunities all around you to make product, sales, and the overall company better. We’ll provide an environment where you can act on those ideas.

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity. You should feel at ease making important decisions in ambiguous situations, thoughtfully balancing many competing constraints.

  • Have strong opinions that you’re willing to defend. We have a culture of discussion and debate on important decisions. We’ll push you to defend your choices, and expect the same in return.

  • Can learn quickly with confidence. Mortgage is complex, we are regulated, and our platform is multi-product. We value people who can absorb information, understand it, and build something better than what came before.

  • Are a great writer. This is a writing-heavy role and the bar is high; your writing will play a key role in shaping the voice of Pylon, creating impactful messaging that fuels our mission.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in growth marketing, growth, demand gen, product marketing or similar roles

  • Strong interest and understanding in fintech, financial products and/or AI

  • Bonus points if you've worked on deeply technical products and developer tools, or complex financial products.
