Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to be the Senior HR Program Manager under the HR Mergers & Acquisitions PMO (M&A) at T-Mobile. In this role, you will lead the Human Resources (HR) Program Management Office (PMO) to oversee and implement strategic HR initiatives tied to the successful integration of companies at various stages of M&A activity. At any given time, T-Mobile’s HR team manages multiple mergers of varying complexity, size, and industry alignment. This is a great opportunity to shape the people, culture, and organizational outcomes of T-Mobile’s growth strategy by integrating acquired talent and maintaining compliance and alignment across HR functions. You will need a strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership savvy to engage partners, mitigate risks, and deliver results.
* This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and can be based in Bellevue, WA, Overland Park, or Frisco, TX **

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR leadership, legal, and cross-functional M&A teams to define strategic HR objectives for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Design, implement, and lead HR integration plans, including employee onboarding, compensation harmonization, benefits integration, and cultural alignment.
  • Establish timelines, dependencies, and actionable roadmaps to enable seamless integration of acquired organizations.
  • Develop robust program management tools, dashboards, and processes for tracking integration milestones and risks.
  • Create, implement, and oversee governance frameworks to manage HR due diligence, execution, and post-integration evaluations.
  • Report program progress, risks, and results to T-Mobile’s HR and executive leadership teams.
  • Align HR processes with broader M&A objectives, maintaining compliance with legal, financial, and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and third-party vendors involved in delivering critical components of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for all M&A activities, collaborating with senior leadership and partners across the organization, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address integration challenges, prioritize objectives, and align strategic goals.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and timely communications to leadership and staff impacted by M&A activities.
  • Lead HR change management strategies, ensuring consensus and adoption of new policies, systems, and cultural norms.
  • Create and implement employee engagement initiatives to integrate talent, address retention risks, and promote alignment with T-Mobile’s values.
  • Oversee organizational design and workforce transition efforts, including redeployment and outplacement programs as needed.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing HR M&A program team to manage concurrent projects across multiple companies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the HR PMO.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to HR leaders and their teams throughout the integration lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR program management or project management, with at least 3 years focused on mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale HR integration initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Solid understanding of HR systems, processes, and standard methodologies related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Solid understanding of organizational design, talent management, culture integration, and employee experience.
  • Proven experience managing contracts, budgets, and third-party vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) or HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Experience in managing global or multinational mergers.
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications industry or technology sector.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.

Base Pay Range: $103,100 - $186,000

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
