About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Group Privacy Senior Lead within Consumer, Small & Business Banking (CSBB) to lead the Privacy Program team, which is responsible for managing and coordinating the completion of various privacy initiatives by the business as well as performing activities that evaluate adherence with key privacy policy and regulatory requirements and helps to mitigate privacy risk exposure across the business group.
The senior individual contributor will serve as CSBB's Group Privacy Leader (GPL) and is responsible for providing CSBB businesses with guidance and recommendations on improvements to business operations and processes to ensure adherence with key privacy policy and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, the GPL is expected to lead and/or provide support for privacy-related CSBB-wide initiatives, including but not limited to policy and regulatory implementations, the completion of required privacy assessments, participating in issues management process, and performing other activities that facilitate the identification, communication and escalation of material privacy concerns to leadership, as necessary.

In this role, you will:
- Provide direction, and subject matter expertise to CSBB business partners on privacy-related matters, which includes providing guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies that enable adherence with key privacy policy/requirements
- Oversee and manage the CSBB Privacy program to ensure the program's effectiveness in identifying, communicating and mitigating privacy risk exposure across the CSBB businesses (e.g., non-adherence with key requirements)
- Participate in the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process to ensure privacy program risks and controls are properly documented
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders within the enterprise Privacy function, Compliance, Legal, and Lines of Business
- Act as CSBB's representative in cross-business group forums and provide feedback on the impact of proposed enterprise-level enhancements to CSBB's businesses
- 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in leading or managing privacy programs within large and complex organizations, particularly in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of privacy laws and regulations applicable to the financial services industry, including GLBA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA/CPRA, etc.
- Proven experience applying privacy laws and regulations to complex business functions
- Experience identifying, mitigating and consulting on risks and regulations
- Experience driving and managing change in a large and complex matrixed organization
- Experience managing tight timelines and competing priorities while successfully holding business partners accountable to meet critical deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailoring messaging to various audiences
- Strong influence and consensus building skills with senior stakeholders and business partners
- Ability to solve complex business problems and proactively develop solutions
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
