Essential Skills Required:

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, plus strong PowerPoint expertise

  • Knowledge of both traditional and digital formats

  • Strong understanding of design principles and branding

  • Skilled with document layout, graphics, and infographics

  • 5 years minimum of professional graphic design experience

  • Experience with project and digital asset management software

  • Excellent creative and innovative skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized

  • Ability to use strong analytical and artistic approaches to solve complex issues

U.S. Citizenship Requirement
U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the requirements of the role.

Design Portfolio
Please provide a link to your design portfolio below. We are particularly interested in portfolios that demonstrate experience creating professional visual communications, such as reports, PowerPoint presentations, web/digital graphics, posters, one-pagers, fact sheets, and brochures.

Pay will be determined based on years of graphic design experience, education, and portfolio. The best portfolios will include many different highly polished reports, PowerPoint presentations, graphics for major websites, etc.

Remote Position / Occasional In-Person Attendance
This position is fully remote; however, there may be occasional in-person team-building or employee engagement events at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Alexandria, Virginia.
