Modivcare is looking for an experienced Government Affairs Manager I to join our team. In this role, you will assist in building the knowledge base, tools, and relationships needed to support key Government Affairs functions. You will also engage in face-to-face lobbying efforts and represent the organization at key political affiliate conferences and meetings with Governors, Staff, and Legislators.
This role…Monitors legislation and regulations across all service lines for the company's various business units.
Establishes concrete knowledge base and understanding of the legislative and regulatory landscape, including threats and opportunities.
Supports state and federal lobbying efforts through direct lobbyist engagement and oversight.
Represents the company in government and industry forums, panels, and working groups.
Communicates and liaise on behalf of the Government Affairs department; provide updates to key initiatives for leadership.
Prepares compelling reports, white papers, graphic illustrations, and power point presentations for various government clients and stakeholders.
Serves as subject matter resource for leaders relative to contracting and compliance requirements for the company business units, including requirements for new market entry.
Attends and reports on legislative briefings and committee hearings, as needed.
Assist in the compilation of and draft comments to regulatory bodies, state agencies, etc.
Assists in providing research and analysis of various public policy initiatives, as well as legislative and regulatory issues in the social services and healthcare arena.
Coordinates invoice payments and political contributions, ensuring compliance with any necessary state and federal laws including reporting requirements.
Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
Occasional business travel may be required.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Seven (7) plus years of experience in government affairs.
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
In-depth knowledge of legislative processes, public policy, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong network of contacts within governmental bodies, agencies, and industry associations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
High degree of teamwork, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with high quality execution and performance.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint).
Salary: $111,000 - $149,900
Bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
