What are we looking for?

BetterSleep, a sister company to BetterHelp, is looking for a General Manager to lead the organization and drive growth. As the General Manager, you will have full ownership of BetterSleep’s P&L and will oversee all aspects of the business, including product, marketing, revenue, growth, and operations. You will be responsible for scaling BetterSleep and enhancing its impact on global users looking to improve their sleep quality and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with deep experience in direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses, particularly in customer acquisition and paid acquisition channels. You are an empathetic leader with a high EQ, capable of fostering a strong company culture while driving business results. You bring a growth mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

This role is for someone who thrives on ownership and is eager to take BetterSleep to the next level. If you are a visionary leader looking to drive significant impact at a growing company, we’d love to hear from you!

What will you do?

  • Own and drive the strategic vision and overall business performance of BetterSleep, including full P&L responsibility.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
  • Oversee product development, ensuring that BetterSleep continues to innovate and meet the evolving needs of users.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Revenue, and Operations, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
  • Build and optimize paid acquisition channels to efficiently scale user growth.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics to measure, evaluate, and drive business decisions.
  • Identify and execute new market opportunities and expansion strategies.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing leadership team, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape to position BetterSleep as the market leader.

What will you NOT do?

You will NOT worry about funding. We have startup DNA, but we're fully backed and funded by our parent company, Teladoc Health.

You will NOT be confined to your "job". We believe in nurturing employees’ interests and passions – even if some of them lie outside of your core responsibilities.

You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, egos, or bad attitudes. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!

You will NOT get burned out. We work hard, but we also believe in maintaining sustainable work/life balance. Seriously.

You will NOT have to wonder why you’re doing the work you’re doing. Our day-to-day operations translate into people getting the help they need.

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate in Eastern Time and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We also ask our employees to travel to our Montreal and Bay Area offices up to nine times per year to collaborate in person in order to build better working relationships and experience our in-office culture. Travel expenses will be covered and reasonable accommodations will be made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of scaling D2C businesses.
  • Deep experience with customer acquisition, paid acquisition channels, and data-driven growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, growth, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a growth hacker mentality.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and ability to foster a positive company culture.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Passion for health and wellness, particularly in the sleep and well-being space, is a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
  • Holistic perks program (including free therapy, employee wellness, and more)
  • Remote work with regular in-person bonding experiences sponsored by the company
  • The chance to build something that changes lives – and that people love
  • Any piece of hardware or software that will make you happy and productive
  • An awesome community of co-workers

The base salary range for this position is $325,000 - $400,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for equity, performance bonus, and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2025.
