About the Team:

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.

About the Role:

We are expanding our Strategic Sourcing team and hiring multiple Global Supply Managers (GSMs) based at our Stennis, MS, Cape Canaveral, FL, or Long Beach, CA sites. Across these openings, we are seeking strategic category owners to cover the following commodity areas:

  • Construction & Infrastructure
  • Mechanical, Fabrication & Skilled Trades: custom-fabricated and machined mechanical hardware plus the skilled contract labor that builds, welds, machines, installs, and maintains.
  • Equipment, Rentals, Cryogenics & Tanks
  • MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
  • Logistics, Marine & Recovery
  • Central Procurement (Long Beach, CA only): IT and software, professional and consulting services, facilities, HR, and contingent labor

As a Global Supply Manager, you will own the end-to-end sourcing and supply strategy for one or more of these commodities. You are the strategic owner: you define the sourcing approach, lead high-value negotiations, design and manage the supply base, and partner with engineering, finance, and operations leaders to deliver cost, quality, delivery, and supply assurance. You will also mentor sourcing specialists and lead cross-functional initiatives, influencing outcomes without direct authority. If you bring deep sourcing expertise in any of these areas, we encourage you to apply!

  • Own the global category strategy for the commodity, business unit, or location under your scope, including should-cost models, supply base design, and multi-year category plans
  • Direct sourcing strategy and lead sourcing events end-to-end, including RFPs over $100K — gathering data, engaging the right stakeholders, and implementing the plan
  • Lead high-value, complex negotiations and master service agreements (MSAs), securing favorable commercial, technical, and delivery terms
  • Own strategic supplier relationships and roadmaps; manage supplier performance and QBRs, and resolve escalations
  • Own supply assurance, capacity, and cost roadmaps for your category, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure continuity
  • Partner with engineering, finance, and operations leaders; maintain a clear map of critical stakeholders; build full procurement plans for critical projects and guide stakeholders on the best sourcing routes
  • Apply fluency in vendor contracting terms and commercial risk, and remain accountable for correct approval routing on contracts and POs
  • Drive category KPIs: increase sourcing coverage (spend under management), optimize transaction volume within your scope, run a rigorous benchmarking process to maximize value for the organization, and reduce tail spend through supplier consolidation
  • Mentor sourcing specialists and lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–8+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience (may be adjusted for demonstrated skills), including ownership of a category or commodity
  • Proven experience owning an end-to-end category strategy, should-cost analysis, and supply base design
  • Track record leading high-value, complex negotiations and MSAs ($100K+) with strong commercial outcomes
  • Fluency in vendor contracting terms and commercial risk, with accountability for correct contract and PO approval routing
  • Ability to build procurement plans for critical projects and guide stakeholders across engineering, finance, and operations
  • Experience owning strategic supplier relationships, performance management, and supply assurance / risk mitigation
  • Proficiency with procurement systems (ERP, P2P/S2P, e-sourcing; e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work autonomously and set direction within a category

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Category expertise relevant to the role (e.g., construction & infrastructure, mechanical/fabrication, IT hardware/software, MRO, logistics/marine/recovery, fuel & gases, corporate services)
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, or CIPS
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or another complex, regulated manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with government contracting, ITAR/export controls
  • Master’s degree or MBA

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
