Department Overview
Enterprise Channel & Sales Operations focuses on developing and implementing an impactful and effective partner experience including program, tools and processes conducted when doing business with Motorola Solutions. As a result, this enables sales to achieve their short and long-term objectives. These relate to channel sales revenues, profit and market penetration.
Job Description

The Global Sales Operations Manager will support the North America Channel and Global Enterprise Strategic Sales teams. This role is crucial in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of a sales team. Operational functionality is key to driving revenue and growth by optimizing processes for future growth.

The responsibilities of the Global Sales Operations Manager will include but not limited to the following:

  • Collaborating with senior executives to define the overall sales strategy (i.e. sales goals, target markets and revenue projections).

  • Providing support to the sales team in terms of data, reports, and insights  to enhance their effectiveness.

  • Analyzing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. 

  • Managing and maintaining salesforce to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. 

  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.

  • Creating regular reports and dashboards to track sales performance and KPIs.

  • Driving sales forecasting and quota setting processes for the sales organization. 

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline sales operations.

  • Providing training to the sales team on tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Tracking and reporting on key sales metrics, such as conversion rates, win/loss analysis, and pipeline management. 

  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform sales strategies.

  • Implementing and managing sales-related software and tools. 

  • Managing a team of individuals focused on forecasting, reporting and quota setting for the sales organization, as well as the overall design and implementation of Salesforce.

  • Designing and implementing the CRM (Salesforce (s), HubSpot, etc) view as part of the larger Global design.

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree is preferred. Emphasis in Business, Engineering or related field is desired. Masters Degree is a plus.

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, operations or product management.

  • Strong leadership skills to evaluate team performance and provide training and coaching when necessary.

  • Communication skills for effective verbal and written communications with sales teams, operations specialists, collaborating departments and leadership.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for sales process improvements and develop and implement new strategies.

  • Financial skills and business acumen to understand sales profitability and opportunities.

  • Technology skills to utilize salesforce and database software tools in daily tasks.

  • Research and reporting skills to analyze sales data and consumer trends to create sales forecasts.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams.

  • Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Knowledge of channel distribution strategy and programs is strongly desired.

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
