About the role

We're looking for a Strategy & Programs Director to join our global marketing team! This is a high-impact position reporting to our SVP of Brand & Community and working with senior marketing leaders worldwide. You'll be at the center of how our global marketing organization runs: shaping strategy, streamlining operations, driving cross-team collaboration, and ensuring our leaders are aligned and focused on the right priorities. It's a unique opportunity to help design how our marketing function operates, communicates, and evolves during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You'll work across brand marketing operations, business strategy, and team engagement to build processes that scale, connect people and ideas, and move us forward.

Main Responsibilities:

Team Operations & Strategy

  • Partner with the SVP on annual strategy, planning, and budgeting
  • Lead large cross-functional projects that improve how our global marketing teams collaborate and deliver
  • Track progress on key marketing priorities, identify opportunities, and help remove roadblocks
  • Manage the content and flow of marketing leadership meetings, offsites, and company-wide presentations
  • Oversee the budgeting and OKR (objectives and key results) process across all marketing functions
  • Support marketing leads with forecasting, budget tracking, and visibility into financial performance
  • Keep the extended leadership team connected and aligned through regular communication and follow-up

Communication & Collaboration

  • Strengthen communication within marketing and with other teams across the company
  • Partner with internal communications on team-wide updates, announcements, and engagement initiatives
  • Foster connection and collaboration across teams through programs, events, and development opportunities
  • Help maintain team morale and a sense of shared purpose

Special Projects

  • Partner with Sony Pictures Entertainment and other Sony divisions on strategic growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with research teams to identify insights and frameworks that guide marketing decisions
  • Support cross-company projects that expand our impact and lead innovation

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

About You

You bring clarity and structure to complex problems, turn ideas into action, and help teams stay aligned and focused on what matters most, and know how to keep teams aligned, focused, and motivated.

  • You have 12+ years in marketing, operations, or strategy roles across multiple functions in a fast-growing organization
  • Experience in management consulting or on internal strategy teams is a big plus
  • You have led large-scale initiatives across multiple regions, markets, or teams
  • You have global experience, working with diverse teams across continents
  • You have managed marketing budgets (including planning, tracking, and forecasting)
  • You have a track record in project management at scale, delivering projects on time, within budget, and with measurable impact
  • You are a strong collaborator who builds trust and gets things done
  • You are organized and detail-oriented, spotting bottlenecks and improving workflows
  • You communicate clearly, directly, and empathetically, balancing multiple perspectives

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
