Job Description
As a Vice President in GCB Infrastructure Corporate banking, you who will be responsible for developing, growing and supporting our global business with a portfolio of global infrastructure fund clients and their portfolio companies. This role is needed to position the firm across a broad suite of products in close alignment and cooperation with our product and global coverage partners.
Relationship responsibility is global across our network and will encompass a full set of corporate banking products (Cash Management, DCM, lending products, trade, FX, interest rate products, commodity derivatives and Securities Services) as relevant for infrastructure funds and their portfolio companies.
You will be involved in the coverage, origination and execution of infrastructure finance deals in all relevant markets in close coordination with M&A, DCM, Project Finance Advisory, Derivatives structuring and other products. We are looking for an experienced banker to be based in New York, work as part of a global team who will help build the GCB Infrastructure team's presence globally.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work within GCB coverage partnering with IB and product bankers to pitch for new engagements and develop client relationships with our global infrastructure fund clients.
  • Develop and deepen coverage for infra fund portfolio companies as corporate clients
  • Work with partners across J.P. Morgan to identify new infrastructure finance and risk management opportunities and deliver the firm.
  • Jointly with our products partners, you will drive and coordinate the tailored marketing of products, identifying and addressing our clients' needs
  • Lead origination and execution of bank and bond infrastructure financings, including contract negotiation, due diligence and consultant management
  • Lead execution tasks, credit risk analysis and other internal approval processes for loans and counterparty exposures
  • Responsibility for onboarding of target clients and presentation of the respective business and credit cases to the relevant internal partners and committees
  • Revenue responsibility for top line growth as well as for sound risk return metrics
  • Be the first line of defense for continuous credit quality monitoring

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 6+ years of banking or relevant finance experience with experience in coverage of listed and privately owned corporates and/or the project finance/infrastructure finance markets preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver for clients, close transactions and build networks, both internally and externally
  • A strong base knowledge of corporate banking products including bank loans, bonds, rates, FX and structured products, cash management, etc.
  • Risk management skills with experience in originating and executing credit related products and documentation.
  • Team player with an ability to collaborate, run and mange processes and multiple workstreams
  • Working knowledge of the infrastructure industry and markets and existing infrastructure clients and investor relationships, preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills

  • It is critical that the candidate be able to relate well to clients and service their need. Strong analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills are a must.
  • It is expected that the candidate demonstrates qualities that are team-oriented, fostering and collegial. The ability to delegate effectively to A&A's and support functions but pay attention to detail to ensure good execution for clients.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner.
  • Must be dedicated to the Firm's goals.
  • Have uncompromising personal integrity and commercial judgment
  • An ability to juggle deliverables for long-term transactions as well as a busy day-to-day schedule
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required
