ABOUT THE ROLE 

FGO (From Great Origins) is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and highly strategic General Manager to lead the brand into its next chapter of growth. This role is responsible for overseeing the full P&L, owning the brand strategy, and driving execution across all functions – from marketing to supply chain to eCommerce and innovation. 

You’ll lead a cross-functional team and work closely with centralized resources to deliver strong, profitable growth for FGO while staying true to its clean, transparent, and sustainability-minded roots. This is a highly visible role and a unique opportunity to scale a purpose-driven brand in the health and wellness space. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Define and drive the long-term brand strategy and vision for FGO, ensuring a strong, consistent brand identity across all consumer touchpoints. 
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across DTC, Amazon, retail, and international channels, working closely with internal and external partners. 
  • Own the full marketing calendar, including product launches, campaigns, and promotional initiatives that drive awareness, trial, and loyalty. 
  • Champion consumer insights and data-driven decision-making to continuously optimize performance and deepen consumer engagement. 
  • Oversee the innovation pipeline in collaboration with cross-functional teams, bringing new product ideas to life that align with consumer needs and brand values. 
  • Manage and mentor a growing marketing team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and mission-driven culture. 
  • Drive creative development and storytelling across digital, social, email, content, and packaging – ensuring alignment with the brand. 
  • Partner with eCommerce, sales, and operations teams to ensure cohesive strategies across the funnel, from discovery to conversion to retention. 
  • Lead performance analysis and reporting of all marketing initiatives to identify ROI, trends, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Act as a brand steward both internally and externally, representing FGO at key events, with media, and with partners as needed. 

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred 
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years in a senior brand leadership role at a CPG or wellness brand 
  • Proven ability to build and scale brands across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels, with a strong track record of delivering results 
  • Deep experience with data-driven marketing, consumer insights, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Amazon insights, DTC dashboards) 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams 
  • Creative and strategic thinker with exceptional storytelling, positioning, and communication abilities 
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders 
  • Deep passion for health, wellness, and sustainability – and a genuine connection to FGO’s mission of clean, accessible superfoods 
  • Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, ideally with exposure to private equity or high-growth brands 

NICE TO HAVE 

  • Experience leading a brand through rapid growth or transformation 
  • Background in working with private equity-backed businesses 
  • MBA or advanced business/marketing degree 
  • Familiarity with international expansion strategies

The annual base salary range for this position is $180,000-$210,000 USD/year. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: location, education, skills, training, and experience. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
