Our opportunity:

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our Document Automation & Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) business. This is a high-impact, customer-facing leadership role with accountability for sales growth, revenue delivery, and market leadership. The GM will be both a strategic driver and a hands-on sales leader — shaping go-to-market strategy, engaging directly with customer executives, and serving as the product SME in strategic sales cycles and a thought leader in the marketplace.

This leader will be responsible for closing business, driving pipeline, and expanding adoption, ensuring that every customer engagement links our solutions to measurable business outcomes.

Who you’ll report to:

This role reports to our SVP, Global Alliances & Channels

Location: 

Hybrid role with regular onsite working days in San Jose, CA preferred.  Other locations may be considered.

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

  • Owning the Business: Full accountability for bookings, ACV, and growth of the Document Automation & IDP business. From strategy to execution, you’ll own the go-to-market efforts and results of our Document Automation and IDP business
  • Setting the Strategy: Identify build strategies for product sales and expansion levering multiple sales channels and across vertical and horizontal markets to grow the business
  • Market Leadership: Position Automation Anywhere’s product offerings as a leader in the IDP industry. You’ll do this in partnership with our marketing and analyst relations team and individually through webinars, industry presentations, articles, and more
  • Enablement: In partnership with our Sales Enablement team, ensure our AEs have the knowledge and tools needed to identify opportunities in accounts and pitch our offerings as the solution to our customers’ needs – and hold the AEs accountable for success here
  • Driving Sales Cycles: Individually and in collaboration with our sales teams, you’ll engage directly with C-level executives and decision makers, presenting the value proposition, shaping business cases, and guiding complex enterprise deals to closure
  • Being the Product SME: Act as the subject matter expert in customer meetings, linking business needs with solution capabilities, and ensuring customers clearly see ROI and transformation potential
  • Product Enhancement: Serve as a resource to and work to influence our product development and product marketing teams to drive towards the best product market-fit in the industry
  • Expanding Adoption: Partner with Customer Success to ensure deployments deliver tangible outcomes and lead to cross-sell/upsell opportunities
  • Scaling GTM Motions: Build repeatable solution plays, industry use cases, and win themes to accelerate growth in priority industries such as Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, and Manufacturing
  • Building & Leading Teams: Through collaboration and leadership, build a cross functional team to deliver results
  • Partner Ecosystem: In concert with our channels and alliances team and through our key partnerships, strengthen relationships with global system integrators, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) organizations, and technology partners to drive pipeline and delivery capacity.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company externally at industry events, analyst briefings, and executive forums to establish leadership in document automation.

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 15+ years of enterprise software experience, with significant time in automation, AI, or intelligent document solutions
  • Relevant and deep expertise in the Document Automation and IDP space, particularly with recent AI advances in this area
  • Proven record of driving enterprise sales cycles, closing large deals, and exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to confidently engage C-level leaders and shape business strategy
  • Hands-on product and solution expertise that enables consultative, value-based selling
  • Experience building and scaling global GTM organizations with measurable outcomes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
  • Track record of delivering customer outcomes and creating ROI-driven success stories

The salary range or on-target earnings (base salary + on-target incentives) for this position is $390,000 - $440,000 a year. The salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.  This position is also eligible for equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
