Summary

As Sales Manager, you will lead the General Industry Sales Team as a selling manager, driving both personal and team sales performance to achieve aggressive growth objectives. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, executing sales strategies, and growing existing accounts, while actively contributing to bookings through direct customer engagement.

Your role will focus on ensuring strong team performance, developing efficient workflows, and leading through influence. You will collaborate cross‑functionally to execute commercial strategies and expand market presence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the selling manager for the General Industry Sales Team, carrying revenue responsibility in addition to team leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to consistently achieve revenue targets

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing and growing existing key accounts

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement

  • Allocate resources and collaborate cross‑functionally to execute sales strategies and drive business objectives

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) commercialization and achieve NPI sales targets

  • Drive team engagement, performance, and retention

General Tasks

  • Build and lead high‑performing, inclusive teams by setting clear expectations, empowering individuals, and driving accountability, engagement, and retention

  • Championing customer value and innovation by leveraging VOC, market insight, and business acumen to deliver differentiated solutions and anticipate emerging trends

  • Drive strategic execution and results through strong prioritization, data‑driven decision‑making, execution rigor, and agility in complex, fast‑changing environments

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Proven field sales leadership experience managing and coaching geographically dispersed sales teams to achieve and exceed revenue, growth, and margin targets

  • Strong B2B sales and account management background, including new business development, key account expansion, and complex opportunity management

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications or MBA a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to execute sales strategy through data‑driven forecasting, pipeline management, and disciplined use of CRM and sales metrics; experience with Salesforce a plus

  • Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to uncover customer insights, apply VOC, and deliver differentiated solutions that create measurable value

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influence skills, capable of motivating teams, aligning cross‑functional stakeholders, and leading through change

  • Ongoing sales, product, and leadership training with high learning agility to adapt quickly in dynamic, competitive market environments

Travel Requirements   

  • 50% required travel between team and individual customers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 50–70%), including driving for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time) and air travel

  • Comfortable using standard office equipment and technology, including laptop computers, mobile devices, and CRM tools

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $118,000 to $150,000 annually based on full-time employment. Compensation offers are determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

  • Certain positions may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentive programs. Incentive eligibility and structure may vary depending on the applicable plan and may be discretionary or non-discretionary.
