Note: Internally this role is referred to as Senior Gas Pipeline Compliance Analyst

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with stakeholders/SMEs to create, publish, and provide guidance as required for technical documentation that supports the design, construction, and maintenance of natural gas assets.

  • Manage metadata and workflows of source documents in Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Edit documentation submitted by stakeholders to improve structure, presentation, and delivery of content to end users to resolve information gaps and inconsistencies.

  • Support documentation activities for Management of Change requirements.

  • Create, update, or work with Graphics Design on technical illustrations and graphics to be included in documentation.

  • Understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accurate documentation that follows established writing rules, company standards, and legal requirements, as well as targeting a wide range of audiences.

  • Support team lead with the publication process in the Document Library, as required.

  • Analyze internal systems to help develop and implement continuous improvement in the overall process of document publication, review, retirement, etc.

  • Assist with testing of the Content Management system.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Bachelor degree (Business Administration or Communications) or Equivalent.

  • Minimum 2-4 years demonstrated professional experience and attention to detail for authoring technical documentation.

  • General knowledge and understanding of standard operating procedures, State and Federal codes, and pipeline industry terminology.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).

  • Management of documentation in Microsoft SharePoint.

Preferred:

  • Technical writing certification.

Physical Requirements:

Include but not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements:

Include but not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
