As a G&A Recruiter, you'll be a strategic hiring partner to leaders across GitLab's global G&A organization, with a focus on teams such as Finance, IT, People, and Legal. You'll help them define what great talent looks like, navigate competitive markets, and build high-performing, values-aligned teams. You'll focus on G&A-specific challenges such as recruiting for specialized and niche roles, balancing volume with role complexity, and building strong, diverse pipelines across multiple regions. In this role, you'll work on a global scale. You'll play a key part in making the hiring process feel clear, efficient, and inclusive for both candidates and hiring teams.
You'll report into the Talent Acquisition organization and work closely with other G&A Recruiters and Talent partners to shape how GitLab attracts, evaluates, and hires G&A talent as we continue to grow. You'll be expected to quickly build trust with hiring managers, lean into core recruiting processes like intake, sourcing, interview calibration, and debriefs, and help bring consistency to hiring practices across a fully remote, distributed team. This is a good fit if you enjoy working in a fast-paced tech environment, are comfortable managing multiple priorities at once, and want to make a visible impact on how G&A teams are resourced, supported, and set up to deliver results.
What you'll do- Partner with hiring managers across functions like Finance, IT, Legal, and People to understand their teams, priorities, and hiring needs, and translate these into clear, executable recruiting plans.
- Own and manage full-cycle recruiting for G&A roles, from intake and sourcing through offer and close, while maintaining a balanced candidate pipeline across passive, active, and referral channels.
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition and G&A leadership to align on hiring priorities, interview processes, and calibration of role expectations across a globally distributed hiring landscape.
- Lead and facilitate key recruiting activities, such as structured interview kickoffs, debriefs, and calibration conversations, in close partnership with hiring teams and cross-functional partners.
- Advise and coach hiring managers on topics such as market trends, role scoping, interview best practices, and thoughtful candidate experience, including considerations for hiring across multiple regions.
- Work closely with other recruiters and Talent partners to share insights, align on process improvements, and ensure a consistent, high-quality recruiting experience for G&A leaders and their candidates.
- Use data from our applicant tracking system and candidate feedback to monitor pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and recommend actions that improve time to hire, quality of hire, and candidate experience.
- Support planning and execution of recruiting initiatives and G&A hiring events or campaigns so hiring teams can attract the right talent, make clear decisions, and move roles to completion efficiently.
- Experience as a Recruiter or similar role supporting G&A or business functions (for example, Finance, IT, People, and Legal), ideally within fast-paced tech environments of comparable size and complexity.
- Background partnering with senior leaders, including Directors and Vice Presidents, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence hiring decisions, and provide clear, data-informed guidance throughout the recruiting process.
- Experience supporting globally distributed hiring, including familiarity with working across multiple regions and time zones and navigating differences in talent markets such as India and the Philippines.
- Comfort operating during organizational change, such as shifting hiring priorities, evolving role scopes, or changes in team structure. Ability to balance strategic work (for example, talent market insights, stakeholder education, and hiring strategy) with hands-on execution of full lifecycle recruiting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working asynchronously and partnering cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition peers, People Business Partners, and other People and business teams.
- Openness to learning GitLab's ways of working and tools and applying transferable recruiting experience from related domains while developing a deeper understanding of G&A talent needs.
The G&A Talent Acquisition (TA) team supports GitLab's global G&A organization across functions such as Finance, Legal, People, IT, and other business teams. We help build a high-performing, scalable, and globally distributed organization by maturing our recruiting practices, creating a consistent experience for candidates and hiring teams, and keeping hiring aligned with GitLab's values and ways of working. Team members collaborate asynchronously with each other and with cross-functional partners in Talent Operations, Total Rewards, HRIS, and People to support effective workforce planning, consistent hiring processes, and ongoing improvements to how we attract, assess, and hire top G&A talent.
You can expect to work in a fully remote, highly collaborative environment that relies on written communication, documentation, and structured processes to keep everyone aligned. This role also requires meaningful working hours overlap with US time zones, particularly Pacific Time, to support the majority of G&A hiring and partner effectively with hiring teams. Candidates based in other locations who can accommodate these hours are welcome to apply.
