Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices. Build REST APIs, automated tests, Camel and Artemis messaging workflows, and resilient infrastructure on EKS. Collaborate on CI/CD, monitor production systems with Datadog, optimize performance, document APIs and testing outcomes, and manage ServiceNow deployment tickets. The role also involves migrating TIBCO BW processes to Apache Camel and supporting production installations across various U.S. locations.
Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer
Duties:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement secure, versioned, and well-documented RESTful APIs adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Written clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards.
- Develop comprehensive Unit, Integration, and API test suites using JUnit, Mockito, and REST Assured to ensure code reliability.
- Create and maintain BDD test scenarios using Cucumber to align technical implementation with business requirements.
- Execute performance testing (Load, Stress, and Endurance) using Apache JMeter to identify bottlenecks and ensure system stability.
- Implement Chaos Engineering practices to validate system resilience, fault tolerance, and failover mechanisms under simulated failure conditions.
- Provision and manage EKS infrastructure with optimized node sizing and autoscaling policies for cost efficiency and high availability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Set up and configure infrastructure for new Spring Boot applications, ensuring scalability and operational readiness.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production issues leveraging Datadog logs, metrics dashboards, and APM tooling.
- Analyze and optimize application performance through JVM tuning, database query optimization, and caching strategies.
- Created custom exception classes with technical error codes for each Camel processor, aligning with the error code standards defined in the existing TIBCO BW workflows.
- Mapped processor-level failures to specific tech error codes using custom exceptions, ensuring consistent error reporting and easier troubleshooting across the layers.
- Replace TIBCO exception handling constructs with Camel's on Exception, Dead Letter Channels, and retry policies to enhance fault tolerance.
- Implemented Apache Camel routes integrated with Apache ActiveMQ Artemis for reliable, asynchronous message-driven communication between microservices.
- Built Camel routes with Artemis in Spring Boot to handle file upload workflows, migrated from existing TIBCO BW processes.
- Configured Artemis queues and wired them into Camel routes to process incoming files, apply business validations, and route them to downstream systems.
- Monitor and tune Artemis broker performance including queue depth, consumer throughput, and message backlog using Artemis management console and Datadog integrations.
- Maintain comprehensive API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Document all performance test results and Chaos testing outcomes, obtaining necessary approvals prior to production promotion.
- Create and manage Change Management tickets in ServiceNow, including deployment-related tagging and coordination of production installations.
Requirement: Applicants must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related fields. Travel/relocation required as jobs will be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
