About the Role
We're looking for experienced Full Stack Engineers with hands-on AI experience to join our developer network. In this role, you'll design and ship scalable web applications using React.js on the front end and Node.js on the back end — and you'll bring AI capabilities directly into the product, integrating large language models and AI services into real, user-facing features.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, optimize performance, and uphold high standards of code quality and reliability. You're comfortable working in an AI-native engineering environment — both building AI-powered features and using modern AI tooling in your day-to-day workflow.
Strong communication skills are key, as you'll be working in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.

  • Integrate LLMs and AI services into production features — structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic or tool-using workflows.

  • Build and maintain the supporting data and retrieval layers for AI features (embeddings, vector search, context pipelines).

  • Measure and improve AI feature quality, reliability, latency, and cost through evaluation and guardrails.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Implement best practices for platform engineering, performance optimization, and security.

  • Work closely with DevOps to automate and streamline deployment processes.

  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews.

  • Stay current with emerging AI and web technologies and share knowledge with peers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in similar roles.

  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js.

  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM / AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into production applications.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT).

  • Comfort working with modern AI-assisted development tools as part of your workflow.

  • Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills.

  • US citizenship or residency (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building RAG systems and working with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar).

  • Familiarity with agent/orchestration frameworks or the Model Context Protocol (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom tooling).

  • Prompt engineering and experience with AI evaluation / observability tooling.

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, MobX).

  • Experience with modern JavaScript build tools (Webpack, Babel).

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).

  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
