Front-End GraphQL Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days WFH)

Front-End GraphQL Developer to join an engineering team responsible for building modern, scalable web applications that power digital banking experiences. This role will focus on developing responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript while integrating with GraphQL APIs to deliver secure, high-performance applications.
The ideal candidate has strong experience building enterprise front-end applications, consuming GraphQL APIs, and collaborating closely with backend engineers in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities- Develop modern, responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Build reusable UI components and scalable front-end architectures.
- Consume GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client or similar GraphQL libraries.
- Develop GraphQL queries, mutations, and subscriptions to efficiently retrieve application data.
- Partner with backend engineers to integrate and optimize GraphQL APIs.
- Implement application state management using Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar technologies.
- Optimize application performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application quality and performance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA, and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing applications.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years developing front-end applications with React.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands-on experience consuming GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with Apollo Client or similar GraphQL client libraries.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs into enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Next.js.
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with GraphQL schema design or Apollo Federation.
