Job Description:

MoCaFi is seeking a Freelance Content Manager to help amplify our brand’s voice across social media platforms. As a Freelance Content Manager, you’ll play a key role in leveraging MoCaFi’s content on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. This position requires someone with a passion for storytelling, content strategy, and social media trends. You’ll work directly with the Content and Community Manager to develop engaging content that drives awareness and community engagement.

As an integral part of our Marketing team, this role will report to the Creative Director. 

Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/week, 4-5 days/week
Compensation:  $35-45/hour (depending on experience)

Note: This is a freelance position with a flexible commitment of at least 10+ hours per week. The role is remote, with optional in-person opportunities for those located in or near Union, NJ. The schedule is flexible, but availability for occasional meetings during standard business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Curate, repurpose, and manage MoCaFi’s digital content for social platforms.
  • Write compelling copy for posts, captions, and micro-blogs that align with MoCaFi’s mission and tone.
  • Design simple social media graphics using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools.
  • Help develop and execute a TikTok and Instagram Reels strategy, keeping up with trends and best practices.
  • Monitor social engagement and performance analytics to optimize content strategy.
  • Work with the Graphic Design Assistant to ensure cohesive branding across all platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, financial literacy content, and fintech marketing best practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong writing skills with a clear, engaging, and brand-aligned voice.
  • Experience using TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn for brand storytelling.
  • Some proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for simple content creation.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret social media analytics to improve engagement.
  • Bonus: Interest in financial empowerment and community-driven storytelling.

Preferred Background:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies,
    or a related field.
  • Students from Kean, Rutgers, NJIT, Parsons, or FIT are encouraged to apply.
