About Byrider

Byrider is the nation’s leading buy-here-pay-here automotive franchise, helping customers achieve car ownership through responsible financing and high-quality vehicles. With more than 100 franchise locations nationwide, Byrider is committed to operational excellence, franchisee success, and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

At Byrider, our Franchise Consultants play a pivotal role in helping independent owners achieve operational excellence and sustainable profitability. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in the field—partnering directly with franchise owners to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive measurable results.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll blend financial acumen with operational know-how to strengthen performance across sales, reconditioning, collections, and compliance. Every engagement is different, giving you the chance to influence multiple dealerships, support national initiatives, and make your mark on a system that’s growing and evolving.

If you’re an experienced operator, coach, or business leader who enjoys travel, collaboration, and turning analysis into action, this is a role where your impact will be visible—and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with franchise owners to analyze KPIs and financials, uncover performance opportunities, and implement improvement plans.
  • Conduct structured on-site visits, including pre-visit planning, in-store consulting, action-plan development, and follow-up.
  • Lead monthly franchisee consultation calls focused on operational execution and accountability.
  • Support franchisees in achieving Byrider performance standards across sales volume, reconditioning efficiency, charge-off rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver engaging operational training sessions—both virtual and in person—covering best practices, process improvements, and new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams (Marketing, IT, Finance, Vendor Relations) to ensure smooth rollout of system-wide programs.
  • Support new franchise openings and special projects that strengthen overall system performance.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Byrider brand—promoting consistency, excellence, and responsible growth in every dealership you touch.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and drive measurable improvement.
  • Confident communicator who can influence business owners and motivate store teams.
  • Strong understanding of dealership or BHPH operations—sales, service, underwriting, and collections.
  • Skilled facilitator and trainer, capable of engaging both small groups and large audiences.
  • High integrity, accountability, and follow-through; thrives in a results-driven, remote environment.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a team-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive retail, BHPH, or consumer finance (multi-store or consulting experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated success at improving financial or operational performance in a dealership environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent operational experience).
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Ability to travel two weeks per month to franchise locations nationwide.

Compensation Overview

  • Base Salary: Commensurate with experience.
  • Incentive Opportunity: Up to 30% annually, paid monthly, based on achievement of performance metrics including Sales, Recon Cost, Charge-Off %, and Franchisee Engagement.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, and travel expense coverage.
