Who We Are:

At Synapse Health, we're streamlining the durable medical equipment (DME) process. We manage intake, documentation, routing, claims, billing, and patient support. Our model reshapes how DME is delivered and experienced.

Since 2016, with decades of industry and leadership experience, we've delivered tech-based solutions that help our partners to modernize operations, improve coordination, and reduce administrative burdens. By taking on operational and financial complexity, we're redefining how DME works for providers, prescribers, and patients. We are proud to offer work that matters, on a mission that matters.

What We Need:

The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in shaping Synapse Health’s financial strategy by transforming data into insights that drive informed, confident decision-making across the organization. This role provides deep visibility into the company’s financial performance and serves as a trusted business partner to leaders across Operations, Product, Growth, and Finance.

As an FP&A Manager, you will help build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial landscape—connecting budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and long-range plans to real-world business outcomes. This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines analytical rigor with strong business judgment and enjoys influencing decisions in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.

What You Will Do:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Partner closely with department leaders to develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive accountability through disciplined planning processes that balance accuracy, flexibility, and speed.

Performance Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying root causes and delivering clear, actionable explanations for leadership.
  • Conduct deep financial analysis including trend analysis, KPI tracking, utilization metrics, and unit economics.
  • Translate complex financial data into insights that inform strategic discussions and operational decisions.

Executive Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare, distribute, and present accurate, timely, and executive-ready financial reporting to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Support leadership meetings with concise narratives that explain performance, risks, and opportunities.

Financial Modeling & Decision Support

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support reporting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
  • Assist in evaluating strategic initiatives through ROI analysis, sensitivity modeling, and investment tradeoff assessments.

Risk Management & Financial Integrity

  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate exposure while supporting sustainable growth.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data across all reporting and analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement of FP&A processes, controls, and documentation.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a service-oriented finance partner to internal teams, supporting decision-making with timely analysis and thoughtful recommendations.
  • Collaborate across functions to improve forecasting accuracy, resource allocation, and financial discipline.

What You Have:

At Synapse Health, we’ve intentionally built a culture rooted in kindness, collaboration, and creativity, qualities we consider essential for every team member. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant analytical experience, ideally within healthcare, with DME experience preferred.
  • Background in analytical environments such as FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, valuation, banking, or corporate development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to build and maintain complex financial models using advanced Excel functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • A proactive, “get-stuff-done” mindset with the ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Leadership & Influence: You guide and influence stakeholders through insight, credibility, and partnership.
  • Problem Solving: You quickly identify issues, analyze data, and drive thoughtful, timely solutions.
  • Service Orientation: You respond with urgency, professionalism, and a commitment to helping teams succeed.
  • Clear Communicator: You speak and present with clarity, adapting your message to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team-Oriented Mindset: You value collaboration, welcome feedback, and prioritize shared success over individual wins.
  • Quality Focus: You hold yourself and others to high standards and continuously look for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $110,400 – $138,000 annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions. Compensation discussions are encouraged throughout the hiring process.

What Sets Us Apart:

  • Professional growth opportunities with compelling career paths
  • Healthy work-life balance supported by flexible paid time off (PTO)
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, STD & LTD insurance for full-time team members
  • 401(k) savings plan with employer matching contributions
