Position Summary:  

We are looking for a Director of FP&A who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on builder. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys creating clarity from complexity, and is passionate about building scalable financial systems from the ground up. 


You will work directly with the CFO and executive leadership to drive financial planning, performance analysis, and business partnering across the organization. 

Work setting:   

The FP&A Director position will be remote, with some expected travel to our offices in California and across the US.   

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and own financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning Partner with business leaders to manage expenses and identify revenue opportunities Develop and automate reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL a plus) Implement and optimize FP&A systems and tools to support automation and scale 
  • Deliver strategic financial insights to cross-functional teams and executive leadership 
  • Support M&A modeling, scenario planning, and integration efforts 
  • Create and maintain KPI dashboards across departments 
  • Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis and performance reporting 

Qualifications and Preferred Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred) Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth companies strongly preferred Experience with multi-entity or multi-site operations Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business strategy 
  • Proven ability to build and scale FP&A infrastructure in a fast-paced, evolving environment 
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Excel, and Power BI; SQL a plus 
  • Strong command of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting 
  • 6–8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership roles
