We’re Changing the Rentals Industry

We’re a profitable, growth-stage company building industry-leading martech and data products for the rentals industry. While originally known for building and operating one of the U.S.’s largest rental marketplaces - Rentable, our focus has shifted to our category-leading AI and data SaaS products with triple-digit growth rates.

We’re a fully remote team of 100+ spread across the U.S. from coast to coast. We operate on a strict no a**holes policy and are proud to have built a community of highly performing people that take our work seriously, but not ourselves.

While we’ve raised $30MM+ to date from some of the world’s best investors, we’re profitable with a strong balance sheet and an indefinite runway. We pride ourselves on achieving rapid growth without having to incinerate capital.

If you like the idea of joining an industry-changing company made up of people who genuinely like each other, Rentable could be a great fit for you.

The Role

As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping Rentable understand how the business is performing and where we should focus next. You’ll work closely with the CFO and teams across the company to turn data into clear, actionable insights that support everyday decisions and long-term strategy. A big part of your role will be querying, cleaning, and transforming data using SQL to answer real business questions and help move the company forward.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will need to be a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, follow-up abilities, and effective verbal and written communication. Your ability to synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to assess areas of improvement, support recommendations for action, and define and implement routine reports will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Create and maintain models to predict performance under various conditions and assess business decisions
  • Analyze differences between actual results and budgets/forecasts, explaining key drivers and trends
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, operational changes, and executive requests
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, summaries, and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across financial and operational reporting
  • Partner closely with the CFO and other members of the leadership team to support data-driven decision-making across the business
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that provide visibility into company performance for leadership and functional teams
  • Identify gaps in data or reporting and proactively work with stakeholders to improve data quality, instrumentation, and processes
  • Turn messy or incomplete data into usable insights
  • Support the preparation of leadership-level reporting and presentations, including quarterly board meetings

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience with SQL
  • 2+ years experience with a data visualization tool, preferably DOMO
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a highly quantitative field
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Excellent analytics and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to synthesize financial and operational data into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations
  • An analyst with a strong voice for data-driven decision-making
  • Self-motivated and experience working autonomously on financial projects from initial data collection to final business decision
  • Naturally curious and highly motivated to jump in, analyze, experiment, and learn
  • High degree of attention to detail and diligence in verifying the accuracy & completeness of work

Why Rentable:

  • 100% remote workplace
  • Competitive Compensation
  • Flexible Vacation Policy
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 100% paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Program
  • 401k Program
  • No A**hole policy
