About Leap

Leap is one of the fastest-growing benefits solutions and a category-defining pioneer in employer specialty pharmacy. We are reshaping how life-changing therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring patients get the treatment they need while employers finally get a fair deal.

Specialty drugs and infusions represent nearly 10% of all healthcare spend and are the fastest-growing cost category for employers. Leap tackles this challenge with a novel approach: eliminating hidden markups, expanding access to high-quality infusion providers, and bringing clarity and fairness to how therapies are priced and paid for.

We’re proud to partner with numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading TPAs. Each patient we serve creates immediate ROI: lower costs, improved access, and better care. Join us as we redefine what’s possible in specialty care.

About the Role

The Founding Recruiter is responsible for building and running Leap’s hiring engine, ensuring we can scale headcount without compromising on quality. This role partners closely with founders and hiring managers to move the company from founder-led, reactive hiring to a more consistent, high-performing, and scalable model. You will own recruiting execution across priority roles while designing systems, workflows, and tooling that reduce manual effort and allow the function to operate leanly.

This is a role for someone who treats recruiting as a systems and leverage problem, not just a service function. You will balance hands-on execution with building the foundations that enable hiring to scale efficiently over time. This role reports to the Co-founder & President.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting Execution & Delivery

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for critical and complex roles, maintaining high-quality pipelines from sourcing through close

  • Prioritize and manage multiple searches simultaneously based on business impact and urgency

  • Operate as a highly leveraged individual contributor, using systems and automation to deliver strong outcomes at scale

Hiring System Design & Improvement

  • Design and implement structured interview processes (scorecards, exercises, interview plans) that improve signal quality and consistency

  • Build scalable workflows, templates, and systems that reduce manual effort and increase hiring efficiency

  • Leverage AI and modern tooling to automate low-leverage work and streamline the recruiting lifecycle

Hiring Manager Partnership & Enablement

  • Lead intake and calibration to define role scope, success criteria, and evaluation approach

  • Coach hiring managers across varying experience levels to improve interviewing, decision-making, and overall hiring effectiveness

  • Partner with leadership on offer strategy, leveling, and hiring tradeoffs while laying the foundation for a scalable talent function

Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years of recruiting experience, including significant in-house experience

  • Proven ability to run full-cycle recruiting across a range of roles

  • Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth environments

  • Demonstrated track record of building or improving recruiting processes, systems, or workflows

  • Strong prioritization and judgment across multiple roles and competing business needs

  • Ability to influence hiring managers and drive alignment on hiring decisions and tradeoffs

  • Demonstrated ability to use modern recruiting tools and AI to increase output and reduce manual work

At Leap, we’re building an outlier company with real impact — and that takes focus, energy, and commitment. If that excites you, we’d love to hear from you.
Leap is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. We’re committed to building a team that reflects a diversity of perspectives, experiences, and identities.
