We are launching the next generation of Clinical Decision Support. A platform that will make health systems more economically efficient and assist physicians by supporting the delivery of timely and accurate treatment decisions at the point of care.

Our platform addresses the critical need to help clinicians manage complex information and rapidly evolving treatments, ultimately improving patient outcomes, increasing physician productivity and satisfaction, and lowering the cost of care.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI/ML Engineer with a strong track record in building and deploying AI software solutions. You will be a founding member of the team, engineer #1, to build and deploy the core components of our platform that will transform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. 

Key Activities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models for healthcare applications.
  • Preprocess and analyze both structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop robust, scalable training pipelines optimized for healthcare datasets and integrate models into secure production environments.
  • Implement feedback loops to continuously improve model accuracy and utility in clinical workflows.
  • Optimize models for fairness, interpretability, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC2) in healthcare systems.
  • Build performant backend services for data processing and model integration.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in generative AI, LLM, and healthcare AI advancements.
  • Work closely with clinicians, healthcare professionals, and product managers to translate clinical needs into technical solutions and ensure technology aligns with real-world workflows.

Requirements: 

  • Passion to build technology that directly improves patient outcomes and redefines clinical workflows.
  • 7+ years of experience in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent field, with a strong portfolio in real-world deployed models.
  • Healthcare domain experience (EHR, EMR, FHIR/HL7)
  • Proficiency in Python and modern frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Pandas, FastAPI).
  • Experience with synthetic data generation, fine tuning, model evaluation, and other AI techniques. 
  • Familiar with container orchestration and deploying applications in different cloud services
  • Self-starter with a versatile skill set and ability to adapt and context switch in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in early-stage startups.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of bias mitigation, explainability, and validation in clinical AI.

Some travel is required

Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
