About Lucid Bots

Lucid Bots Inc. is an AI robotics company that extends human reach by building the world's most productive and responsible robots. Our robots allow people to perform dangerous and demanding tasks without putting human life and safety at risk.

Headquartered in Charlotte, we design, engineer, manufacture, and support our products domestically. Our current line of production-ready robots includes the Sherpa, a cleaning drone, and the Lavo Bot, a pressure-washing ground-based robot. Our products elevate safety and efficiency for customers all around the world. Lucid Bots was recently recognized as the fourth fastest-growing manufacturing company in the United States.

We are venture-backed, with multi-round investments from Y Combinator (S19 batch), Cubit Capital, Idea Fund Partners, Danu Ventures, and others. Learn more about our vision.

Our Core Values and How We Work Together

Meeting the demands of our fast-growing venture-backed startup requires commitment from every team member—a commitment to each other, to the customers, and to the broader community. Our core values guide us in how we fulfill that commitment every day:

  • Lead with Compassion – Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where people feel valued and heard.
  • Grow with Purpose – Embrace learning, adaptation, and intentional decision-making.
  • Win as One Team – Collaborate and share ownership of our vision and outcomes.
  • Be Positive Agents of Change – Take ownership and drive impactful actions.
  • Pursue Extraordinary Impact – Solve meaningful problems with innovation and effort.
Goal of This Role:

As the Founder's Associate, you’ll be at the center of everything that keeps Lucid Bots running smoothly. You’ll manage the founder’s priorities, keep the office organized and welcoming, and build simple systems that make the team more effective.

This role is designed for someone early in their career — maybe a recent grad or self-taught tech-enthusiast — who’s smart, organized, and eager to learn how startups really work. You’ll get exposure to operations, communication, and decision-making at the highest level, all while building a foundation for a long-term career in tech or business. If you’re looking for a place to call home, grow fast, and make a real impact, this is it.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the founder’s calendar, inbox, and daily priorities, keeping time focused on what matters most.
  • Greet visitors and maintain an organized, welcoming office environment that reflects Lucid Bots’ culture.
  • Handle day-to-day operations tasks — supplies, meeting logistics, facility coordination, and vendor communication.
  • Support internal & external communication, helping with memos, follow-ups, pitch prep, and time-sensitive communication.
  • Use technology and AI tools (like Notion, ChatGPT, and others) to streamline workflows and make systems smarter.
  • Anticipate needs before they’re voiced — from meeting prep to small details that keep the team productive.
  • Support company events, travel logistics, and internal projects as needed.

Who You Are
  • A hyper-organized operator who thrives on turning chaos into clarity.
  • An entrepreneurial learner excited to be exposed to startup building at the highest level.
  • Curious, tech-savvy, and resourceful — you enjoy experimenting with tools and finding better ways to work.
  • Calm under pressure, able to juggle multiple moving pieces in a fast-changing startup environment.
  • Highly organized and dependable, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong writer and communicator, comfortable drafting professional correspondence.
  • Humble and eager to learn — you don’t need to have it all figured out yet, just the drive to grow.
  • Excited by startups and innovation, and looking for a place to start a meaningful, long-term career.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex scheduling, competing priorities, and high volumes of information.
  • Recent grads and self-taught learners welcome.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and productivity tools (Slack, Notion, etc.); interest in AI or automation tools a strong plus.
  • Comfort handling confidential information with discretion and maturity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Prior exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or startup ops.
  • Background supporting C-level executives or founders.
  • Experience planning events, managing logistics, or supporting external communications
Success Criteria
  • The founder’s schedule and priorities run smoothly and efficiently.
  • The office feels organized, stocked, and inviting.
  • Written communications are clear, timely, and professional.
  • Small inefficiencies are spotted and fixed before they become problems.
  • Team members consistently describe you as the glue that keeps things running.

Why Join Lucid Bots?
  • Work directly with the founder of a fast-growing, venture-backed robotics startup.
  • Be part of a team solving real-world problems with frontier technology.
  • Get a front-row seat to fundraising, company building, and startup strategy at scale.
  • Learn more in one year than most people do in five—this is a career accelerant.
  • Help support the culture, pace, and systems of a company scaling fast and building things that matter.
Benefits:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 3% retirement match
  • 15 days of paid time off (PTO)
  • 11 paid holidays
  • Employee stock option plan
  • Other benefits
