In this position...

In this position you will be responsible for the design and release of multiple products on the most exciting vehicles Ford Racing produces

You will manage multiple cross functional relationships both internally and externally to help ensure the successful launch of current & next generation, segment defining products

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple commodities for Ford Racing on current & upcoming new model program
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program & engineering GPDS milestones
  • Lead FSS (Full Service Suppliers) and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject program
  • Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to deliver to customer expectations
  • Assure conformance to the Ford Racing DNA and all applicable Ford & regulatory requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and our enthusiast customers
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during the prototype build and launch builds
  • Interface and maintain collaborative relationship with Core Engineering Organization
  • Drive cost reduction execution across Ford Racing programs, leveraging the TVM process, CRID tracking, and VCAT activities to identify and implement design and product cost actions
  • Execute and facilitate the TVM process for cost reduction activities and delivery on Ford Racing programs, including:
  • Coordinating cross-functional work and managing related meeting cadence
  • Tracking CRID actions from ideation through implementation, driving for earliest possible implementation
  • Supporting VCAT events/initiatives to attack and validate cost opportunities across programs
  • Lead the planning and delivery of cross functional events and enablers to identify new cost reduction initiatives
  • Partner with the Global Material Cost Team and TVM Finance to ensure compliance with business practices for design and planned product cost actions on current and new model programs
  • Escalate issues as needed to ensure appropriate support and alignment at all levels
Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
  • 3-5+ Years of experience in Design & Release
  • 2+ Year of experience using CAD or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500. This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

Internal applicants: moving into this role may result in an adjustment to your current compensation based on the posted pay range for this role, taking into consideration your qualifications and other relevant factors.
