We are seeking a FinOps Engineer to join our innovative R&D team.

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing cloud costs, implementing governance strategies, and managing hosting cost control solutions across AWS and Azure. You will utilize Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation to ensure efficient cloud spending while aligning with business objectives.


Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cost-efficient cloud architectures and automated infrastructure solutions to support scalability and financial efficiency
  • Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost optimization opportunities through rightsizing, discount commitments and spot instance strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define, monitor and forecast cloud budget, while building robust cost control models
  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports to track cloud spending, usage trends, and savings initiatives
  • Enforce cloud governance standards by ensuring proper tagging strategies, cost attribution, and adherence to best practices
  • Be part of an innovative and high-performing team leveraging the latest tools and technologies to drive success

Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/FinOps engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS or Azure
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform
  • Proven experience with cloud cost optimization, cloud financial management, or related roles
  • Proven experience optimizing Kubernetes workloads
  • Experience with FinOps tools like CloudHealth or Anodot
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions - an advantage
  • Proficiency in automation scripting using Bash and at least one modern programming language such as Python or Go - an advantage
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and leadership teams
  • Strong ability to present cloud cost KPIs, reports and insights to management and stakeholders, translating technical data into business impact
