JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Driven Brands has an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team. The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation of debt securitization and debt covenant compliance reporting, as well as financial information utilized within the Company’s Franchise Disclosure Documents, whilst remaining current on new GAAP pronouncements as they are released and assess the impact to the Company.  The Financial Reporting Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls over the financial reporting and debt compliance process.  Also, this role will work closely with the SEC Reporting Team. 

 

How you will Own It:

  • Assist with preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements related to the Company’s debt securitization and debt covenant compliance, and financial information utilized within the Company’s Franchise Disclosure Documents.  

  • Assist in the review of prepared financial statements 

  • Work with business units and other departments to provide support for technical accounting matters as needed. 

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requirements relating to SEC reporting and close consolidations.   

  • Coordinate with the business to review monthly and quarterly flux analyses   

  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit requests 

  • Establish productive relationships within finance and other departments 

  • Work as part of cross-functional teams to execute various special projects and transactions and preparation of ad hoc financial reporting.   

  • Maintain financial records in compliance with corporate policies and procedures 

  • Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvement 

  • Research technical developments related to accounting pronouncements and assess impact to the Company and proactively monitor current FASB and SEC activities and evaluate the impact of adopting new accounting standards.   

  • Work with the independent auditor to ensure the timely completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits. 

What you’ll Bring:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA required 

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, including experience auditing public companies 

  • Experience with financial statement preparation and reporting 

  • Strong technical accounting background with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting requirements 

  • Experience obtaining and analyzing data from an ERP and database management systems 

  • Understanding of transaction cash flows 

  • Excellent Excel skills 

  • Ability to work well in a team environment 

  • Clear and transparent communication skills 

  • Structured and analytical thinking
