The Impact you will have in this role:

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Reporting Accountant to join our global finance team at DTCC, a leading international conglomerate.  The Financial Reporting team is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and reliable financial information, including financial statements and regulatory filings, to applicable regulatory bodies. The role also includes preparing financial content for board materials, debt offerings, and external communications.

The Financial Reporting team accomplishes these responsibilities by preparing key analytical data, technical accounting and reporting guidance, and running and enhancement of reporting systems that facilitate the production of this financial information. The financial reporting accountant will primarily focus on the preparation of consolidated and/or stand-alone financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS supported by robust variance analysis and board-related material, and variance analysis. This role is designed for an individual with strong analytical skills, who is ready to take on increasing responsibility in a growing and dynamic global environment. 

The financial reporting accountant will work closely with senior team members to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.


Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting Support

    • Assist in the preparation of consolidated and/or stand-alone financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS, ensuring that all data is accurate and consistent.

    • Prepare supporting financial schedules, including disclosures, cash flow statements, and related reconciliations (e.g. primary to secondary reporting).

    • Contribute to the timely completion of period end and year end reporting deliverables.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze monthly financial results and variances, providing actionable items to Global Accounting if required.

    • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management, committees, and the Board.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Controls

    • Prepare and support required government and regulatory reporting. 

    • Assist in maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Provide audit support during internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and explanations for auditors.

  • Process Optimization

    • Identify and recommend improvements to financial reporting processes, controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting workflows and support reporting enhancements.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 2+ years of experience in financial reporting or accounting


Talents Needed for Success:

  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS

  • Working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy

  • Certified Public Accountant or on a path to obtain CPA, preferred

  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with colleagues in own team, as well as other functions


 

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
