Job Overview:

We are looking for a Financial Planning Manager that is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the financial planning function across the firm.

Please Note: We have ONE opening for a Financial Planning Manager that can be based in one of our many office locations: Boston, MA - Westwood, NJ - New York, NY - McClain, VA - Annapolis, MD - Charlotte, NC - Atlanta, GA, and Wayne, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Financial Planning to execute on strategic initiatives, complete research projects and feedback loops, and ensure high-quality, consistent planning delivery across the organization
  • Planning Enablement and Execution
    • Implement firm-wide financial planning workflows, templates, and processes
    • Coordinate the rollout of new planning deliverables and tool features
    • Support planning pilots and advisor testing groups; collect and organize feedback
  • Technology and Platform Support
    • Works closely with planning platform administrator to drive usage of financial planning tools (i.e.: eMoney, Holistiplan, SSAnalyzer)
    • Provides research and rationale for firm-level planning assumptions, settings, and integrations
  • Communication and Feedback Coordination
    • Manage the “Voice of the Advisor” feedback loop (surveys, interviews, etc.)
    • Assist in drafting and publishing the Planning Roadmap and monthly updates
    • Schedule and help facilitate the Planning Advisory Panel and pilot group meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CFP certification
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a wealth management related or financial services field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of financial planning experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of planning strategies and solutions
  • Highly proficient in financial planning software and computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively engages as a team member
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Client first attitude
  • Occasional travel may be required

  • Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point of market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and most importantly, performance in the job role
